Any idea how long the CM spam filter blocks you from sending messages?

It says temporarily blocked and this was yesterday?

If anyone has any knowledge on this I'd be very grateful if you could let me know

searching4mysir -> RE: CM Spam Filter (9/15/2013 6:11:02 AM)

FR

They don't tell you for a reason. Once it is lifted, stop spamming people and you won't have to worry about it.

houseworkboi -> RE: CM Spam Filter (9/15/2013 6:24:40 AM)

Who said I've ever spammed anyone? I'm asking on behalf of a Domme who hasn't been able to find an answer to how long the ban will be in place. She's not a spammer either just made an error of sending out a generic reply to the 50 or so messages she had stating she's no longer looking for a sub.

If anyone else has anymore useful advise on how long these bans last I'll be pleased to pass on the information to the lady in question

myotherself -> RE: CM Spam Filter (9/15/2013 6:27:28 AM)

You got the useful advice. The mods don't tell us how long the ban lasts - one day your friend will wake up and the ban will be lifted.

DarkSteven -> RE: CM Spam Filter (9/15/2013 6:28:04 AM)

Let me give you a bit more insight.

If you send women messages like "Hi. My name is XXX and I want to do XXX with you,", you'll get marked as spam by the recipients. If you send messages like "Hi. I notice that your profile indicates that you like hiking and camping. I'm new to the area but hiked, camped, and fished a lot in Colorado when I was there. Could you suggest some good trails and fishing spots locally?" you'll be fine.

1. Don't state any fetishes in your opening message.
2. Make it clear what in her profile interested you, and bring it out in your first message.

The fact that the spam filter got you isn't the big issue. The fact that you pissed off enough women to report you to it, is the issue. Even had the filter not been activated, you were striking out badly.

Oh, is she too lazy to ask herself?

Whether or not she considers 50 generic replies to be spam is irrelevant. The people who received it did (and they marked it as spam). Spam is in the eye of the recipient, not the sender.

houseworkboi -> RE: CM Spam Filter (9/15/2013 6:33:36 AM)

If you'd read my last message you would understand that I haven't spammed anyone or been banned but I have all the answers I need now so thank you all for your input [;)]

If you private mail me with the name of the Domme in question, I will be happy to take a look at her account.

My neck is just fine. I'm being blunt and matter-of-fact, hardly emotional. I just don't believe you are asking on behalf of someone else. The spam filter doesn't prevent someone from posting here.

houseworkboi -> RE: CM Spam Filter (9/15/2013 7:06:54 AM)

Let it go ffs I was asking a simple question in a help section titled ask a Mistress are you one of these? no I didn't think so.

You've spent the last 20 minutes clicking on my profile for what reason I do not know. Anyway I have been given the help I needed from admin so the purpose of this thread has been answered so try and relax and stop taking things so seriously [;)]

LadyPact -> RE: CM Spam Filter (9/15/2013 8:23:58 AM)

To date, this is the first time that I've heard that the spam filter nabbed somebody for sending replies. From My limited knowledge as to how the spam filter works, the only way I could see that happening is if she created a generic message that she sent to the fifty people that she had received emails from, and cut and paste the same message to everyone, sending them all out in a short amount of time. Kind of like mass mailing. Next time, she can avoid triggering the spam filter by just changing her profile to reflect that she's found somebody and no longer looking. Either that or keep up with the email as it comes in, rather than mailing scores of people all at the same time.
