Avoiding it as much as I can, dashing from air-conditioned apartment to air-conditioned cab to air-conditioned office, then back again at day's end.

Same. But getting out of the car to go into the store means facing a heat wave when I got back out. In half an hour it turned into a sauna.

I a weird way, I'm glad I don't have AC. For one thing, it tends to cause me sinus problems when I go from inside to outside, and if and when the grid collapses again, I won't suffer as much as the ones who cocoon themselves inside.
