THE NEW FASCISM

We today are now witness to the dark cloud of a new dawn...in the real birth of Big Brother in America. With the eager compliance and assistance of the big businesses and the like, they profit from the coming of the Orwellian Utopia in the capitalist worker paradise.

Soon in the west, one 'wiretap' one vote will be the new clarion call of democracy. Defining down our Utopia...as without yet another single blow, will be the new opiate of the masses, and under its umbrella of fear...read, listen, watch...the courts no longer to be the first refuse of the new tyranny. They are already.

tj444 -> RE: It's the 4th...let 'celebrate ?' (7/4/2013 9:54:06 AM)

what are you going to do about it? I mean, really do about it?

Marini -> RE: It's the 4th...let 'celebrate ?' (7/4/2013 10:14:28 AM)

Let's celebrate all this country is about, everyday!
Unbridled corporate capitalism greed and expansion, the top 1-2% who rule most of the world, the great free market system that has made America the great country it is these days!
Don't forget our wonderful elected officials that represent our interests!
I certainly am not going to feel bad about it,
because it is the 4th of July.

What's that all about?
I say we celebrate the decline in grand style.
Let's go out with a big bang.
Happy 4th of July to Everyone!

Many wellworn cliches in the OP. So much doom and gloom. Dark clouds, big brother, Orwellian, wiretap, fascism, utopia, on and on. Still waiting for one citizen to step forward and demonstrate how they were harmed by the current government's attempts at exercising prudent national security. Utopia? Who ever promised a rose garden? The world is complicated and potentially deadly place. Deal with it.

Double Post

I have been very scared for this country for quite some time but your post seems to blame big corporations while absolving government.

Sorry, I don't see how that could be possible. Our government stinks like a fish; from the head on down and it has done so for quite some time.

Myself and my family have sacrificed a lot for this country (some of those have been the ultimate sacrifice) and to see the direction in which we're headed, it adds insult to injury.

I love my country but I fear and despise my government.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

LOL

Happy 4th to you, my friend.

oh the evil, evil, government, and those awful programs set up to help us like {medicaid, medicare, social security, unemployment, disability, disaster relief, etc}.
We would be so much better off dismantling the evil government and letting the benevolent corporations and big business run this country.
**Let's face it there are major problems with every "system" and everything that this country stands for.
There are a plethera of major problems with BOTH corporations/big business and the government.

Can we at least agree that most of the time they are working together?
hummmmm

Five things the government does better than you do

Pass me whatever it is you are "on'.
Happy 4th to you!

they are one in the same.

you must "incorporate" the people into a body politic to even have subjects to govern in the first place and government corporations are presumably in control of private and public corporations.

All one big incestuous happy family veiled under the yummy yum name of democracy! Hell if it has democracy seal of good housekeeping then it has to be God sent! LMAO

But the government cant even run a fucking whore house!

The Government can't run a whorehouse so you give them your banks
When this hit my mailbox, I was like oh no this can't be true:

Back in 1990, the Government seized the Mustang Ranch brothel in Nevada for tax evasion and, as required by law, tried to run it. They failed and it closed. Now we are trusting the entire economy of our country to same guys who couldn't make money running a whore house and selling booze?

I mean like we all know how the government threw away millions in their failure to help Katrina Victims. And spent how much on a Bridge to Nowhere in Alaska. And state and local agencies this year have not paid $254 million in tax's due because they can't run a "local agency" efficiently. And continues to pay pensions to convicted lawmakers/breakers.

But come on. Fail at running a whorehouse that serves booze in Nevada??? What, No slot machines (whoops sorry, bad wording)? The deck wasn't "Stacked enough" (whoops sorry again)? Someone "crapped" out (oh jeez, somebody stop me)? Nobody would take a spin on the Roulette wheel (hmm how much duck tape would that need)? Were they dealing to many dead mans hands and nobody could "Bump and Raise" (Lord I'm sick, everybody that has your purple wings raise your hand)? Maybe they were holding their "cards to close to the their chest" and had to "hold and fold".

Or maybe the gov'ment was making the clients produce to many picture id's and fill out to many "procurement" request, wasn't providing enough "cultural diversity" and making people wait in to long a line while they inspected "hanging chads".

So this can't be true right? Guess what? I asked Papa Joe if he could find me a link to that little gig.
Here it is (from FOX news no less, so you know that yes it is fair and balanced, ):
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,292166,00.html

So yes, it is true. The government could not make a go of running a whorehouse. So as sick as this little puppy might be, I'm thinkin givin the country control of our banks wasn't a real healthy idea.

I am glad I took you off ignore and read this.

I actually agree with you to a point.
Governments are corporations {to a large extent} and they are BOTH to blame.

Pitting one side against the other is a lesson in futility.

THEY are both fucking to blame with the direction this country is headed.
As we watch the decline in our general standard of living and when go off the "proverbial" cliff, they can hold hands and equally share the blame.

the federal reserve private banking industry trade employees with the treasury.

as an example dubya put paualson on as treasury secretary saving him 5million and change in taxes, its one huge fucking rico scam at the top and of course they have immunity and or protection from their pals.

I have nothing to celebrate.

First things first; I don't do drugs so, I'm not "on" anything and I would appreciate if you would stop insinuating such.

Second of all; I never said that I wanted to dismantle the government and I have never said that corporations aren't greedy. That's a given.

Nice strawman attempt though.
