As to your bit about Christians and the Ten Commandments, you do know that Islam has the exact same Commandment as well?

are you refering to this section of that?

017.033
YUSUFALI: Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law).
PICKTHAL: And slay not the life which Allah hath forbidden save with right. Whoso is slain wrongfully, We have given power unto his heir, but let him not commit excess in slaying. Lo! he will be helped.
SHAKIR: And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided

if this is the part you are refering to, then I submit thata quite a bit differant from, straight up thou shall not kill, it says don't kill unless you feel its the right thing to do

not kill and not kill with a loophole is a bit different

Actually, the original text in Aramaic says "Thou shalt Not Commit Murder." as do most versions of the Bible that aren't KJV

King James tweaked the Bible a bit to satisfy his own political goals.

So if someone is going to harm me or my family there is no prohibition against doing whatever I have too. Makes so much more sense.

Based on the original Hebrew Bible, that is correct.
I mean, seriously, it wouldn't make a hell of a lot of sense for Moses to come down off the mount with "Thou shalt Not Kill" and then have Joshua go and, with the Lord's backing, basically wipe out the Caananites.
War and home defense are different critters so sayeth the OT.

Maybe you should find a better translation than the KJV?

To start with the correct translation of thou shall not kill is You shall not murder. The Hebrew word translated as murder has the connotation of unlawful killing just like the Qu'ran.

The point is that the Mosaic Code does not equate causing a woman to miscarry is not considered to be murder of a human being..

fine fine, kill what ever and whomever fits your version of whatever book you prefer

I give up you win!

No Ken, the Normans were not Celts, they were Norman. But they adopted Gaulic Customs, such as the French language.

Getting back to the comment that started it, France isnt considered to be a Germanic culture. Just ask any European.

It is stupid to suggest otherwise.

The French language is not Celtic. It is derived from Latin, That's why it is called a Romance language.

As to the French culture it is not Celtic. The only part of France with any trace of Celtic language or culture is Brittany. I'd say if I had to that French culture derives heavily from Roman culture but there is definite Germanic influence.

It is beyond doubt that the Franks ruled France after the Western Roman Empire collapsed. Charlemagne, King of the Franks, was the first Holy Roman Emperor after all and that the Frankish culture and language dominated. We also know that everywhere else that the Celtic and Germanic peoples encountered each other the Celts were pushed back not assimilated. So why would France be different?

I think you'll find that the French are mostly Zulus, Ken.

I have removed a plethora of posts.

Several of you can expect Gold Letters. If you do not receive a letter and your post was removed, it was for quoting or replying to a pulled post.
