POSSIBLY, they thought that they would just start up numerous other accounts, and the staff and system would not catch the link to those other accounts, because those accounts may or may not be currently active. It would also appear that POSSIBLY, they are aware that the users cannot answer their question, but MAYBE, if they scream loud enough, that the OTHER posters would assume they were lily white and look over the fact that the absence of a visible profile might cause concern as to the veracity of the current poster. POSSIBLY, that is why support is in no hurry to respond to those posters because the statistical probability has shown in the past that instead of correcting said problems, and acting within tos, they will argue the point incessantly and continue to exhibit the same behavior. (This is in no way of course, directed to the OP, its just what some of the possibilities MIGHT be)
