Certainly this isn't too shabby either. I'm not sure about the socks though.

Then would you believe even Elvis is wearing a kilt? There is just something so wrong about this one.

Now, for the business minded. Although that thing up front....I can't help but wonder if this is a Scotsman's way of advertising his "shoe size."

Love a man in a kilt. Sexiest item of clothing ever - but only on a man with the confidence to wear it.

Saw a fella who wore a black kilt on his wedding day with lace-up boots - very sexy! [:D]

LafayetteLady -> RE: Men in Skirts (6/9/2013 12:17:56 PM)

I agree, but they have to wear it right. I mean I don't want to see some 400 pound guy in a kilt, even if he has the lace up boots. But that is just me.

lovethyself -> RE: Men in Skirts (6/9/2013 6:51:32 PM)

I really just wanted to say...... I love you guys!!![:D]

Thanks for all the yummy kilt shots.

Ah, just as I feared....pencil skirts.

kdsub -> RE: Men in Skirts (6/10/2013 4:44:39 PM)

But ya just got to love those shoes!!!!

kiwisub12 -> RE: Men in Skirts (6/10/2013 4:46:01 PM)

I agree LafayetteLady - men should only wear A-line skirts ............ preferably ones that look like.............. kilts! [:D]

Well, that's disappointing.
I was picturing LL's third pic. But maybe sweating. And no shirt.

MissToYouRedux -> RE: Men in Skirts (6/10/2013 9:09:00 PM)

My first upload attempt (fingers crossed), but I can't always be a taker. [;)]

In a Marc Jacobs skirt.

theshytype,

The above is their photo. He's already shirtless, lol. A little sweat would be good.

Now if you meant the third on THIS page, it would be this guy:

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what the thing in the front is supposed to signify.

kiwisub12 -> RE: Men in Skirts (6/11/2013 4:02:51 AM)

The thing in front is a sporrin.(spelling iffy), and it's a pouch - for holding hankies and change and small things like that - since a kilt has no pockets. Its grand to have such useless knowledge.............. and still not be able to recite the 7X tables. [8|] [X(] [:D]

Isn't it obvious? It's the "Hairy Beast Below!"

MercTech -> RE: Men in Skirts (6/11/2013 7:24:56 AM)

Trivia warning...
"Kilting" refers to a type of pleating where the pattern of the fabric is retained with the pleat. (very archaic term)
A kilt for a man is of a length just below the knee. For a woman, to the ankles. The front shows a flat panel of the fabric but the sides and back are pleated to allow for unrestricted movement. This is what we usually see in a kilt.
A sewn kilt as most of the pictures show date from the Celtic renaissance of the early 1800s. The older, great kilt type, was about 9 yards of fabric laid out on the ground and pleated then you belted it around you and threw the end over the shoulder. An easy way to wrap up your camp blanket.

The stuff you learn hanging around the SCA for years.

LafayetteLady -> RE: Men in Skirts (6/11/2013 7:57:55 AM)

I know, but some men have large ones and others small ones. Are they trying to tell us something about the "hairy beast below" with their funky thing on the front of the kilt, and what the hell is it anyway?
