ORIGINAL: Just0Plain0Mike This aspect isn't just with faith healing, it can be directed at every part of your life. The biggest fight I ever had with my Mother-in-Law, who was an extremely devoted Southern Baptist, was when she pulled this crap with my wife. Linda was diagnosed with cancer, and the first words out of her Mom's mouth when she heard was, You must have done something really awful for God to punish you like that. I have no problem with religion, even though I'm not really religious myself. If you want to pray rather then see a doctor, that's your choice, but if your choice impinges on the health and/or welfare of someone else, especially a minor, then it's no longer a case of religious freedom. That would have been enough for me to evict her from my life. I have many thoughts on the whole thing, but they really don't belong on this thread. I assume your wife is in remission and doing well? I hope so.
