Nonbinding resolutions about Israel are not anything to get all wound up about. I think there's more reason to be concerned when, for one example, opponents to gay marriage try to force the passage of legislation based on their religious beliefs.

Yeah. And that's why we have a First Amendment, and a Supreme Court to shove the bullshit right back down the offending throats.

That's also why the authoritarian extreme of the left is a bigger threat to liberty, to my way of looking at things, than the fundy douchebags of the right. Pop psychology has never been clearly established as an official looney religion, and isn't explicitly forbidden in our founding documents.
