DaddySatyr -> RE: Political BS: Benghazi (5/11/2013 2:48:50 AM)

Obummer was trying to convince Americans (and, by extensions like this site, the world, at large) that he was the conquering hero that vanquished al quada; that, as a result, he deserved to be annointed for a second term.

Being completely honest, I think the current failure-in-chief could have issued a proclamation in support of bin laden and the typical PPLs would have applauded his courage to speak his mind and continued to mark as "racist" anyone who didn't vote for der kommisar.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

I think Republicans trashing the BUDGET SURPLUS Clintons show how little they really care about US debt. They're also afraid that if Hillary becomes president and Democrats regain control of the House, the Affordable Care Act may be converted to single-payer health care or changed so that everyone is eligible to sign up on the exchanges. What a huge mistake a budget surplus and health insurance not tied to employment would be [8|]. Separating health insurance from employment might cause more businesses to hire and lower US unemployment rates! We can't have that.

And this has what, exactly, to do with Benghazi?

JESUS please us!

And this is why it is so obvious that there is nothing substantive in the Benghazi issue. The President didn't need to convince anyone that he had crushed AQ. The facts speak for themselves and a single minor attack doesn't change that.

Calling a barely left of center politician a communist is just showing how deranged the American right has become.

mnottertail -> RE: Political BS: Benghazi (5/11/2013 6:49:40 AM)

What remote control exception?  There are alotta exceptions, mostly unconstitutional ones.

If you are 'critical'  of the 'remote control exception'  maybe you should fire a bunch of inept stooges down there in the legislature and fix the fucking thing.   Since the war powers act is clearly unconstitutional it won't matter when the shit hits the fan ever and it gets challenged.

Thats why Obama ignored the howl down in the legislature and refused the bi-partisan begging to exercise the war powers act and that they had a resolution ready to sign for him.   Not necessary.

It's the whole point of the Benghazi witch hunt. The republicans see HRC with huge approval ratings and the Clinton fund raising prowess and know they have no chance of beating her in 2016 unless they can dirty her up now.

Been here, done this with you, Ron. I'm not wasting my time. When caring becomes convenient, there isn't a shred of doubt in my mind that you'll come around, and likely wind up accidentally quoting me when you bitch.

mnottertail -> RE: Political BS: Benghazi (5/11/2013 7:43:15 AM)

Nah, I haven't got any fuckin time to waste on ignorant shit like that.   Ohhhhh, the remote control exception.   Not at all illegal  like the use the War Powers Act treasonously exception by pure knowing lying to the Congress to make it seem legal and appropriate exception.

I wouldn't come around to whining fucking stupidity, Rich.  So nothing to 'care' about or wring my hands or gnash my teeth or perform other teabagging historonics over, ever.

The only time I will care is when it is challenged, get that dirty unconstitutional piece of shit off our books.

So why must House Republicans....WASTE....more taxpayer dollars 'discussing', 'fact-finding', and 'examining' an issue that is all about scoring political points for 2016, an nothing about good government?

How quickly we have forgotten Haliburton.

TheHeretic -> RE: Political BS: Benghazi (5/11/2013 8:21:28 AM)

Congress holding the power to declare war is unconstitutional?

Man, but some people will twist themselves around to keep Obama's balls in their mouth. Talk about teabagged and loving it.

It's actually fairly difficult to find a legal scholar who thinks the War Powers Act is constitutional.

TheHeretic -> RE: Political BS: Benghazi (5/11/2013 8:51:27 AM)

US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8

The Congress shall have Power ... To declare War

Go away, *****s, until you want to pretend you care, only because it's a way to attack a President with the wrong letter by his name.

mnottertail -> RE: Political BS: Benghazi (5/11/2013 9:06:02 AM)

Yeah, only the congress declares war.  thats it.

The president:

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

Nowhere in there does it say he has to report to the congress about any ongoing military operation, whether a result of policy, AUMF, treaty or any other reason.

I don't know why you think its unconstitutional for the congress to declare war, and then quote the passage that they declare war by the constitution.   I don't follow that, and you could hardly find anyone who disagrees with that.

The war powers act is still unconstitutional on its face.   War has been declared, and not undeclared.  Please review the AUMF.  There are no wars that have occurred in the Obama first or second term.

You're confused again. I've always said the War Powers Act was unconstitutional. I agree with every President since Nixon except Carter in this regard as well as most Constitutional scholars who have written on the subject.

The real fact is that the Obama administration bowed to their European betters and reluctantly joined (in fact did the heavy lifting) for the thieves Sarkozy and Cameron.

Now with Libya in a Saudi and Qatari sponsored Salafi chaos (the French Embassy has also been attacked, and the English have issued warnings regarding the health and well being of their citizens and is now cutting their governmental personnel in Libya.

If I were Canadian I would worry as well, that hospital bombings are now reported to be done by Canadian aircraft, and the information is from and published by Arabic sources.

So you are suggesting the UN security resolution to protect civillians was Cameron and Sarkozy`s thievery ?....... Laughable., but nothing new there though.
