I don't know that it determined whether or not I would have sought out "ink", but it certainly has opened up the field for what the tats depict. In other words..yep, got tats and several are BDSM related.

I also wish to be tattooed with something symbolizing Master's ownership of me. His response was simply "If I want it there.. I will have it put there".. Sometimes its not about the body modification.. but about giving up the thought of it when you do want it..

Nope. I'm one of the few ones who started out saying "OMG I can't wait to try that! instead of the normal "No way am I ever gonna do that!"

Granted at the time I was stupid and just being a sensation junkie and didn't know enough to take the right precautions. The grand majority of people will broaden what their original "buffet" is over time. For some people, pushing limits becomes a kink in itself.

I liked tattoo's and peircings before I started to explore my submissive side, well I like peircings on other people, lol bit of a wimp of a masochist when it comes to that *s* Now tho, some of the tattoo's I would consider for myself have diffrent meaning. Before I would never even entertain the idea of someone else deciding on the image for me but now I would be more open to it.

I got body mods before I entered the D/s lifestyle. I was poly and bi and an ordained minister in alternative spirituality before I entered the D/s lifestyle... what has changed for me, or what have I done that I might not have before I entered the lifestyle? Well, when I lived in service, I was charged to complete a novel that I was writing and submit it to publishers to see about getting it published. On my own, it would probably still have been in re-writes, but because of the expectations, I actually did get it out and get it published.

Now, I can write, submit my work, and not stress about whether it is "perfect", because I learned during my years in service that we all do as well as we can -- and as long as we dedicate everything to it that we are able (not as much as we are -willing-, but truly as much as we are capable of), we never have anything to be ashamed of.

There has been only one thing that I have done that I would not have done if Master was not by my side the whole time. My tattoo. I cherish it. But was scared to death to get it. Words cannot describe how proud I am of the tattoo and the fact that I followed through with getting it.

I always wanted tattoos so being interested or involved in BDSM didn't change that. Though body piercings did become more appealing the more i explored my submissiveness.

But being the wuss that I am i still only have my ears pierced

Well the fact that i'm a wuss and a hood ring costs $100 is a pretty big dampener too.

Before i enterend this lifestyle, i already had tattoos, and even up to a year ago i was against body mods such as cuttings and things of that nature(for myself, not others). Now i love cutting, unfortunately i don't scar,so am hoping my Sir will let me have a skin removal done very soon since my last cutting has faded and no longer shows.

i have always thought about getting a tattoo but am more likly to now a nice wolf cub on my right arm its just a matter now of leather gear first or the tattoo. i would never have thought about percings before i entered the lifestyle but now have my ears done and hope that by the end of the year i have my nipples done however below the belt line is a no zone. What i really want is a tattoo, cutting and carving done when i am with the One i will spend my life with, There mark done to that level would be such a wounderful thing to show and display. However it would have to be with the Right One
