My god gave someone the wisdom to invent WHISKEY and he did invent beautiful red headed Irish girls with that wonderful accent...

A lot more than a tip of the hat: from most accounts he's the only reason Batman doesn't look like a Phantom rip off with haemorrhoids in his armpits.
Bob Kane is a talentless shyster cunt who arrived at his "legendary" status by freeloading off more talented cartoonists. You can spot the golden age Batman strips that didn't involve Finger or Jerry Robinson a mile off because they're the really (and I mean mind blowingly) shitty ones.
(Also, Bill Finger had a hand in the original Green Lantern strip. What else did Kane come up with?)

I don't know if there is a God, but if there is, then I would prefer to think that my "God" would be more civilized and refined, not resorting to brawling in the streets. He might send an army of avenging angels or create some powerful supernatural weapon, but actually fighting and beating up another God, that just seems too crude. I always pictured a scene where they would throw lightning bolts at each other or something like that.

But a boxing match between rival gods? That would be a pretty big deal, carried on all the networks, with all the top evangelists doing the play-by-play. It could be made into a whole no-holds-barred tournament, with all the top deities invited to the competition. Just to be fair, they could invite Superman, too, however there would be no rule against any of the competitors using kryptonite.
