The former head of the South Carolina GOP, Todd Kincannon, used his twitter account to attack an Iraq veteran, Mike Prysner, who is now an anti-war activist: quote:
MikePrysner YOU ARE AN IRAQ VETERAN? SHAME YOU DIDN'T COME HOME IN A BODY BAG. quote:
I WISH THE IRAQIS HAD BETTER AIM WITH HIS ASS. quote:
Yes, I HOPE IF THAT GUY IS EVER IN COMBAT AGAIN, THE ENEMY SPLATTERS HIS BRAINS JFK-STYLE. HE DESERVES IT. Little Green Footballs Raw Story No indication, after Internet search, that Todd Kincannon ever served a day in any branch of the United States military - he has only "served" as a Republican Party official. Glad to know that he wholeheartedly honors our military veterans. quote:
Michael Prysner (born 1983) is an American political activist. He is the co-founder of March Forward!, an organization of active-duty members of the US military and veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflict that encourages current active duty service personnel to resist deployment. HE IS A US ARMY VETERAN THAT SERVED IN IRAQ. HIS RANK WAS CORPORAL. His duties in Iraq included ground surveillance, home raids and the interrogation of prisoners. These experiences led him to take a radical anti-war stand. Wikipedia: Michael Prysner While I do not agree with all (or even any) of Michael Prysner's political opinions, I accord him the respect due to all U.S. military veterans. If Todd Kincannon had served in the U.S. military, even if he had not served in a war zone or in combat, I would accord him respect. However, he'd "serves his country" by attacking the positions of those who served in our military - while cowardly hiding at home in South Carolina. Thus, he is deserving of the same amount of respect I have for what I occasionally get on my shoe while at the local dog-walking park. Hopefully, the voters will remember if Todd Kincannon runs for elective office in the future or publically supports anyone for elective office in the future.
