A Florida city had past a law that ban non US Flags from being displayed...but in the end the Irish won.

At least the law wasn't rooted in hate, just poorly written.

Also, unconstitutional. Flags have been recognized as a form of non-verbal speech by the US Supreme Court.

"Everyone can fly their flag as long as it's not interfering with a right of way or creating a safety hazard," Mayor Marks said.

That, because enforcement of the formerly unenforced twenty year old law had been suspended. Mayor Marks clearly understands the way things are in the U.S. She was able to very succinctly put it into words. The interesting thing is she doesn't seem to understand why things are the way they are. Things are they way they are because some of the People will stand up for themselves.

Huzzah for the Irish!
