Works for subbies and Dommes alike.

Some of us are not the type to approach people...in the case of myself, because I'm certain that wimmens have enough hassles already with 3,125,732 emails a day (whether they're sub, Domme or in between)....I figure if someone wants to talk to me, they will.

Conversely, some wimmens (any and all) don't feel it's appropriate to contact a guy (some Dommes, foolishly, in my opinion, feel this way because of their "position" bwahahahahahahaha).....

So...how does one know, having noticed they've reviewed your profile....that they may possibly be more than superficially curious?

Time.

Time spent.

On...one's profile.

I submit that along with "so and so reviewed your profile on thus and such date", another data set is added:

Time spent reading same.

If someone spent 9 seconds on your profile...probably not worth saying "Heya" to.

5 minutes....might be worth a hello.

(I know...I know...you can all thank me later....it's a gift....even I don't know where it comes from).

What if they passed out when looking at someone's profile? A false positive?

My God, can't a woman perv a profile in private anymore?

Next thing you know, you'll want to know who's on the other end of the phone when you hear heavy breathing. Or how many times they Mapquested your house.

Haven't you seen how verbose some people are in their profiles? Time spent reading is only a marginally good indicator of the reader's interest level. And some profile narratives are such train wrecks, a reader might stick with it awhile, much like watching a road accident, unable to tear our eyes away...

Then they"ll want to call driving past a couple dozen times just to see if its well kept stalking!

On at least 2 occasions something similar has happened to me. One or more photos caused me to fixated, in one case for several weeks. Unfortunately that last one happened during two subsequent pay periods and they had to bring the checks to my house for signatures.

I considered that one but, just like government programs, I felt it was best to start small and add on later.

This. I think I would attract a lot of ....unwelcome attention because I enjoy reading crazy or trainwrecky profiles. And often I'll revisit them to share with the boss.

Add Me to the list of folks who forget to close the window. (Ever notice My name on multiple forums at once?)

Lookie, I think your idea would work more for men who are going through their "Who's Viewing" page, rather than women. I can't speak for anybody else, but barely take notice of people who look at Me unless I notice their name/avatar from the forums. I'm middle aged, married, have a sub, so I'm not looking, and I'm in the middle of nowhere. I still get viewed dozens of times a day. For chicks, that page completely refreshes itself within a day or two. How long you looked on Thursday isn't even going to be seen when the gal logs back on come Sunday.

As a side note, I can't be the only woman here who just clicks that page to shut the red highlight off. Same thing with the "Admirers" gig.

With legs like those, you can perv me anytime!!!!!

And while I don't normally speak for my wife (who is also my Miss), she's bi and I know well enough to say that she'd certainly appreciate your pervations as well......so long as she got to perv back.

I do that too. I also leave windows open all the time so how long I was on a given URL means nothing.

Couldn't a regular ping detect activity level without having access to personal information? Google does it to detect your location, only in this case, consent could be involved.

It's a safe compromise, break it down into time groups: <5 minutes, and then perhaps 30-second intervals. It's not exact but it allows you to have an idea. The coding to do this would actually not be all that hard.

I like your idea, LookieNoNookie. It may not be the greatest new (or even a terribly useful) feature for everyone, but I think a lot of people would get some use out of it. What Lincoln said about fooling people is also (at least partially) true for satisfying them.

In the same vein, I'd also like to see a total number of visits data point. And the ability to order the profiles based on both. Click on the heading for Time Viewed and get lowest-->highest, again for highest-->lowest. Click on the heading for Number of Views for the same.

Another one who just leaves my pages open. When I go to bed most times I just let the computer on wherever I end. I walk away if I have to run out thinking I'll get back to it when I get back and then several hours have passed before I get back to it. I start making dinner and then Master walks through the door and I never get back to it until late at night or the next day sometime.

And I will revisit profiles just to see the new stupidity they've written just to have a good laugh.
