Thanks everyone.

Actually, I have to say it's been a bummer. It's 2.40 am and I'm boozing on my own, apart from the senile cat that keeps crapping on the kitchen floor and which I may soon strangle.

My friend - let's call her 'J' - invited me to stay with her and her three kids (ages 19, 18 and 16) for the Big Day. I go down with the flu the day after I arrive a week ago, to recover only today, the 2nd - my birthday. However, then J gets sick and can't do anything except sleep. Her kids never do anything except sleep anyway because they're useless, bone-idle, apathetic slobs.

Oh well. Back home on Tuesday, to prepare for a party at my place the following Saturday. I shall have a ball, after all! Yay! I'd have preferred to have had two balls, but I'm happy just to have the one. There you go. Free joke from Peon to all CM Forumeers!

Times like this, my grandmother's concept of a birthday season comes in handy. Her birthday was 8/12, and the season ran from 7/5 to Labor Day.
