ORIGINAL: jlf1961 Actually the people you are referring to have been marked to be placed in re education camps to change their compassion, helpfulness and cheerful attitude. Such character traits cannot be allowed to continue in this civilization, because it might prove contagious and thus ruin the current "look out for me" attitude in the job market, as well as business theory. If you haven't noticed, people who exhibit this behavior seem to change dramatically, this is due to the re education techniques and psychological conditioning. Of course, I am a full blooded cynic, and expect these people to end up being stabbed in the back, screwed over and otherwise jaded to the point where the thought of being helpful and nice makes them ill. Yes I am a grumpy old guy. Huh, that's interesting, because I've always found the opposite. The people I know who are good, kind, friendly people tend to generally be happy and comfortable. Bad things happen to them, of course, but when they do people rally around to help and comfort them because they are so well-liked. I'm not saying there's some kind of cosmic justice, but in my experience the nice people tend to be reasonably content and the selfish or mean people tend to be lonely and sad.
