Notsweet -> Here's a question (2/11/2013 7:41:22 AM)

Why isn't there an entire section on the front page of the forums called "What's the deal with scammers?"
And another, "What's the deal with findommes?"

It's not like there's a dearth of threads for it.

Wondering, what other topics should have their very own categories?

Notsweet -> RE: Here's a question (2/11/2013 7:42:42 AM)

An entire section on "All (subs) (dommes) (girls) (masters) are FAKES!

LadyPact -> RE: Here's a question (2/11/2013 12:17:48 PM)

Technically, there is.

If you have a look at the sticky at the top of the General BDSM forum, there is a thread named FAQ. In that frequently asked questions list, they do have this section:

quote:

Q: Why are there so many scammers, fakes, professional dominants demanding tribute, wankers who disappear after a few emails, [insert other complaint]? Are there any real people here?

A: We encounter these types of complaints on a routine basis. Sometimes, several of them crop up in the same week or even the same day. Welcome to the internet, let the buyer beware. Your best defense against these individuals is to learn to spot them and then use the Report Profile feature provided by the site administrators. If a profile receives enough reports from individual users (as opposed to multiple reports by the same user), the automated system will handle it. Please refrain from reporting these profiles to Support since this only clogs up the system without resolving the issue. You should also keep in mind that one person's fake is another's ideal partner. If someone is incompatible with you, they are not necessarily fake. Recognize their right to do what works for them and move on to someone else.

So, when people start a thread to complain about that exact thing, I consider them either not very observant, not very informed, or both.

Oh, I realize that, Lady P, but there are so many of them (and frankly, some of the comments are funny as hell) that I just thought they could be gathered in one place. Sort of a mini-club for them.

LadyPact -> RE: Here's a question (2/11/2013 4:14:27 PM)

Oh, I feel you. I still wish they would change polls and random snippets back to random stupidity for the same reason. [;)]

Notsweet -> RE: Here's a question (2/11/2013 7:29:51 PM)

Maybe a special club for people who ask for advice on getting a Mistress, then break down in a cloud of profanity and abuse when you tell them <grin>.

Because ya'll (stomp) are just wrong!!! (Stomp pout)

Notsweet -> RE: Here's a question (2/12/2013 5:11:41 AM)

Okay, okay, wait!! We coould have just a big category called "FAKE OR REAL?" Then they could all go to that one, list the item, and we could hit them like pinat-----I mean, answer their polite questions.
I notice there's about one per day, so we could rotate answers. It would save a lot of typing time, and they won't notice that they're getting answer number 6, for example, because they didn't look to see if it had already been asked and answered!

This is me, looking out for you. Just one more service that I offer.

Yes, or LAZY. I've found a lot of seekers want immediate gratification and simply don't want to do the easiest of RESEARCH, from *How to act* when approaching a Domme (yeah, penis pic, that always impresses us. NOT!) to *Reading Her profile* to find out if She'd even be INTERESTED. They waste their own time as well as piss off a lot of people before they finally figure out what they're doing wrong. A little time spent on research beforehand would improve their odds of FINDING the one they seek.

I'm for CollarMe requiring all users undergo a long list of questions...how they answer could direct them to the particular FAQ's right for them, before they are ever released into the wilds to forage for themselves.

Notsweet -> RE: Here's a question (2/12/2013 6:20:28 AM)

ROFL...left in the woods to forage for themselves.

Maybe a big ol' pop up that says, "Here's your fucking problem! There's no such thing as instant Domme or instant slave, and there's no such thing as lasting instant gratification!"

Yes...and their computer electrocutes them if they're completely hopeless and get a failing grade.
