Now thats interesting, Willard of the Magic underpants, by his own reckoning  is currently, and has for the last 10 years been paying 13%.  A family of 13 (I know them) making 35K a year would pay 3500 instead of 0.  Willard gets a 3% decrease while the poor working shlub gets a 10% increase under the flat tax, and how exactly is that 'fair'? And not WARFARE?

What would Willard do with the 3% besides ship it off to the Caymans?

Ben Carson (whoever he is) can kiss the bloody end of my fuckstick.

Thank you.  I approve this message.

"Johns Hopkins Med Students Call For Carson's Replacement As Commencement Speaker "

"A group of students from the graduating class at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine are calling for the replacement of Dr. Ben Carson as commencement speaker for the class of 2013 following his "deeply offensive" comments on marriage equality and other issues.

In a letter obtained by Media Matters, eight members of the school's class of 2013, including a co-chair of the school's LGBT organization, ask their fellow students to sign a petition describing Carson, a neurosurgery professor at the university, as "an inappropriate choice of speaker at a ceremony intended to celebrate the achievements of our class."

The letter has been circulated across Hopkins School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Public Health, and other institutions, according to a signatory.

Carson, who has become a celebrity in recent months among the right-wing media, has come under fire in the media and from members of the Hopkins community since comparing gay relationships with pedophilia and bestiality during a Fox News appearance earlier this week."

The flat tax will only help the wealthier and force middle and lower income folks to pay more.Been there, done that, got the tee-shirt on that farce.

The other "big idea" isn`t a bad one but isn`t his.

The writers fixation with being "PC" ...or not....gets old quick and then becomes anoying.Probably his own pet peeve or something else just as interesting....

Another note, anyone who I`ve meet who graduated from JHUH was an arrogant elitist jerk type Dr. with all/most of the F-ed traits of such doctors, including an inlaw of mine.

Not if done right. The Armie flat tax gave a married couple a 23,000 deduction plus 5000 per dependent.
Family of four paid nothing on the first 33000
The real reason is that it does not allow them to use the tax code for social engeneering.

You "if" people are a hoot...

You "always take more from the wealthy" people are anti-American

So my neighbors home insurance should be as low as mine even though his house costs 5 times as much and thus so much more at risk ?

So those rich earners don't have anymore to lose and owe nothing more to a society that protects his right and opportunity to be rich ?

Even Adam Smith believed in a progressive tax saying that because the poor devote so much if not all of the earnings to survival and the rich are empower by society to become rich and can devote so much of their earnings to luxuries...should pay a higher percentage.

A flat tax insurance model would say your neighbor pays 5x the insurance premium.

A progressive tax insurance model would say your neighbor would pay 5+x the insurance premium cause his house is too expensive....

Not arguing for or against, just saying your example and/or logic is deeply flawed

Ben Carson is a really smart guy.

That doesn't make him Presidential material.

I'm fairly smart....I can see past all the BUUUUUUULLSHIT that most of you can spew....but...I ain't Presidential.

(Although....I do look good when I turn my head to the left).

Level's smart...I'd vote for him....Tazz....ehhhhh....maaaaaaybe....actually....probably but....I don't give a fuck about her politics....I do like her dissection....and her ability to discern....it ain't my fucking discernment...but she does a fair job....

People that vote for someone because they look good, speak well or smell good....that's what (sadly) American politics is about.

Ben Carson smells good....

You get what you vote for.
