Absolutely bladdy excellent, or what? For me, it does what 24 did, but better.

The blonde woman lead is played by Claire Danes, an actor I've not seen before. Hated her at first; ended up almost falling in love with her. I don't think I've seen anyone with that acting style before. So human! I came over all protective and stuff.

Right, what about Damian Lewis's American accent? Authentic, or a bit rubbish? The lad's a Welshman, as I'm sure everyone knows.

No spoilers, please!

Good show, from what I've seen.

Danes became famous over here for "My So-Called Life", a teen coming of age tv show.

Damian Lewis has a convincing accent. First saw him in Band of Brothers and never suspected he wasn't American until I saw a making of documentary.

Nooooooooo - Carrie's not weak, she's just damaged, poor gal.

It's a nice feeling for me, as a male (and perhaps also as a sub male), when I can see a woman as both someone I find admirable, but someone who I also want to protect. She manages to fire both feelings in me. Not easy, but good when it happens. I want to carry Carrie off and have her babies.

oh Peon, that is one of my fav shows!

I like the grumpy guy that needs to shave (Mandy Patinkin).. he used to be on Criminal Minds (early episodes)..

the red haired guy Damian Lewis I saw him in that series "Life" watched that on hulu.. that show I liked a lot too.. I dont think I have an accent (but I do cuz people ask me about it) so my opinion on his American accent doesnt count for much, I'm afraid..

Claire Danes.. she is so skinny! I hate girls like her! She does play the damaged female, a little too damaged there for a while, now she seems to be getting her groove back since.. umm.. oh... I dont know what episodes you have watched so i wont say anymore..

You mean Saul? He's excellent as the 'wise old man'; sad, jaded and alone. These people don't 'do' relationships - they're kids in that department

I'm just starting Series 2. I'm dying to see what'll happen with Sgt Damian. Will he go terrorist all the way, will he change his mind, or will he crack entirely?

As for Claire being skinny - well, no, not at the end of Series 1. Her backside went distinctly squidgy there. Slimmed since, though. But, blimey, TJ - what would you expect? You're a woman appearing as lead in a TV series that'll go out to millions. Would you diet? Any woman would, surely?.

I love Saul. His character is probably my fave. Claire annoys me sometimes

yes Saul.. He seems to be an actor that chooses his roles judicously.. he doesnt take just anything on and he (apparently) left Criminal Minds cuz he thought it was too gory/graphic..

lol Leave it to you to notice her butt being squidgy.. lol Its been a while since I saw season 1 so maybe she was bigger then,.. the second season ended here a few months ago and so how she looked then is how I think of her.. odd since she was preggers when filming the second season & she looked pretty skinny to me.. But yes, of course if my roles depended on me looking the best I could, I would diet my (squidgy?) ass off..
