And if a prosecutor can't get any indictment that he (or rather, his boss) wants, he is going to be an abject failure and never advance in the office (in most prosecutors' offices, attorneys start out in the juvenile division, then advance to grand juries, then to adult misdemeanors, then adult felonies, then, for the states where it is an option, capital cases). Failing to get an indictment is a black mark on a prosecutor's record. So just because somebody was indicted doesn't mean anything. At all. Well, except that they have been charged with committing a crime, which isn't very much.
