Here in GA just north of the Fl border, we went from 80 degrees one day to 60 the next. Now, that may not sound like much to me, and it isn't, but the folks here are goofy when it comes to cold. I'm walking around in tank tops, and they are wearing winter coats. And hats. And gloves. These folks can't drive in the rain, I would absolutely refuse to hit the roads if it snowed. I can drive in it, grew up in Upstate NY along Lake Ontario, but these people here would be dangerous. When I was working in Chicago, IL I would pray that I was off the first big snowstorm of the season, those people leave their common sense in the freaking driveway. All the troopers would be doing is going from one wreck to another, and one spun out idiot to another for their entire shift. One of the guys would go the the tow company that covered his area and have them follow him with a flatbed tow truck up and down the interstate. He'd tow the wrecked cars and pull out the ditched ones. The biggest hazards on the road are those idiots who drive 4x4's.....they blow by you doing 60 in a storm, and there have been too many times when I've passed the car in a ditch or flipped over because while they may go in bad weather, they still need just as long to stop as the 2x4 vehicles on the roadway. I just honk and wave as I drive by them. And you can bet the troopers give them plenty of tickets for their stupidity.
