Have you ever recognized anyone on Collarme purely from their profile photos? I joined and began searching within 25 miles for potential partners and the thought occurred to me that I didn't recognize anyone. Of course, only about 10% of the profiles had face pictures, so that makes a difference - yet - I was curious (as I'm contemplating what to use for my profile picture) whether it's common or not to recognize anyone local here. Of course, the old club rule rules, that you don't name names nor point out fame outside the venue ... still ... I'm curious if you've ever recognized a fellow kinkster here ... one that you had no idea of their predilections otherwise.

Yes, he was a co-worker and used his work profile photo.

Yes -- We saw each other at a local supra-hipster cafe. We shared a secret, I-know-where-I've-seen-you-before smirk and then went back to ignoring each other. Considering I've only been on CM for a short while, it was pretty amusing.

Yes - he was an old classmate from the late 70s/early 80s, and we used to share lunchboxes and hold hands at break time when we were very much younger [:D] We met up for a drink...zero chemistry, pretty much zero in common. Edited to remove an age reference comment that might have been construed as being against TOS.

Yes, a few including one of the teachers that my daughter went to. I've had a few people recognize me. One decided to email me and tell me he knew where I lived ect. Little did I realize he drove by me every morning when Id put my UM on the bus. Had someone else recognize me. He worked down the street from me. Saw me every time I went to the grocery store. We spoke, had lunch once. No chemistry.

Yes; I knew he was on here but had never seen his profile. One day it popped up and I recognized it as his just by his words.

I was talking to a guy for a while on this, just fizzled out, as these things do. Recently he put up a picture of himself and turns out he's best friends with the guy I'm dating.... I feel so awkward about it even though I have an open relationship with his friend. But I'm really surprised it hasn't happened before, dublin is very small.

This actually just happened to me a few days ago at the grocery store. It was an older guy and I thought he looked familiar and he approached me and asked 'Hi, not to be rude but are you on CM?' Then I remembered... he was that guy wearing diapers. I told him no.

There are more than a million people within 25 miles of me. However, I actually did once run into someone who's profile I saw here.

One time, yeah. She was one of my little sister's friends during high school (she was in college by the time I saw her profile). She was in a relationship at the time, though, and I haven't seen her since (here or in person).

No, and if I did I doubt I would say anything. I am pretty quiet in person at least until I am more familiar with someone. I would never be the type to say hey I know you from the internet. But in this town I am quiet used to people I have no idea who they are knowing me. My husband is on the city council and was the manager of a store here before it closed, so he knows mostly everyone and they see me with him. One guy said you are his wife or at least you better be or he is in a world of trouble. LOL

Yes. My job sometimes takes me into the home of a client. I have met and worked on the computers of 2 people I recognized from the other side.

I thought I did for the first time just recently, then realized I looked at the photo too quickly and it wasn't who I thought it was. As for me being recognized? No! I don't do profile pics. : )
