I've already reported all the stolen photos and every message I've been sent by this person (people). Doesn't really help when they can just create a new profile with all the pics of me they have saved on their computer.

You're right they can keep making accounts and profiles and uploading images.
It's tiresome.
TRUST me!

However, your other option is to simply throw your hands up in and do nothing about your images being stolen and used.
If you do that be prepared for how it MIGHT affect you.

LadyPact, I'm assuming they copied them from my profile. Right click & save isn't exactly difficult. I've done a search, but because the file names of the photos that they saved are different, I can't find them using a reverse search engine. They also keep all their profiles "hidden" so I can't do exactly what they did and save the image that they are using as the profile pic.

And I've already removed all photos that show my face from any profile that I have online.
I'm a rather firm believer in the premise that if I don't know how to do something, I can always find the person who knows how to do what I can't.

You've got an offer from lilsqaw who seems to be more knowledgeable in rectifying this situation than you or I. Maybe you would consider taking her up on her gracious offer of help in this area? If I were in your shoes, that is probably what I would do.

This part is true, but unfortunately the damage is already done in terms of this person having copies of your photos. I could make copies of your photos the day you put them up. The site admins may be able to block a certain IP but there are ways around it, and there are other sites. When something is put up on the internet, no matter how briefly, the risk is there that it could potentially be floating out there beyond your control forever.

Send a message to someone whose username starts 'videoadmin' and they will do what they can for you. Do as lilSquaw suggests about the DCMA violations. If this person is harassing you and causing distress you were right to contact the police, although they will deal with the harassment of you rather than where the photos may have ended up in the long run.

I don't know where you are, but consider also getting some civil legal advice - in the UK your first consultation is usually free so you can get an idea of your options. I only mention this because it seems to go beyond stolen photos to the point where you are feeling personally threatened.

manxcabbit -> RE: How do I delete my profile? (1/15/2013 11:25:13 AM)

I have already taken LilSquaw's advice, I've also contacted VideoAdminAlpha and I talked to the police this morning and they are coming over to see what they can do.

TheLilSquaw -> RE: How do I delete my profile? (1/15/2013 11:27:23 AM)

Np just email on the other side and Ill send it to you.

ETA: If you find your photos keep track of where and when you file the DMCA notice.
Check back to make sure they are taken down.
Also to make sure they aren't reposted on the same site.
That happens a lot.

I would agree with this.
This seems to go far beyond simply a DMCA issue.
Keep all emails they send and vice versa.
I'd also suggest emailing them a cease and desist harassment or intimidation letter.

manxcabbit -> RE: How do I delete my profile? (1/15/2013 11:53:42 AM)

I deleted most of them from my profiles already, although I have a text based copy of them. And as I've already said a few times, I talked to the police this morning. They are apparently coming over today and they will see if they can track down the IP address of the person who is harassing me. The last message I sent this person told them that I'd find any photos they posted of me on the net and the sites would be sent DMCA notices. I informed them that I'd take any action necessary and that although they might find this amusing now, they may not be laughing when the police show up at their door since what they're doing constitutes cyber stalking/harassment.

Keep the originals.
May seem silly but if this does go into criminal or civil court.
They will need to see the originals.
Not just a copy.

Getting an IP address is not always helpful of easy.
There are ways around tracking or obtaining a valid IP address.

Attaching restraining order including electronic harassment, posting of photo or video as well. Usually police require this to arrest someone

Now you've done that, I would advise you stop responding. My all means take copies and make note of every contact you get (and if you are seeking legal advice, it will make it much easier at your appointment if you jot down a time line of what happened when) but no more talking. If it does come to a court room situation, they can and will argue that since you were responding, it was a conversation rather than unwanted repeated contact (lame I know, but I've seen this).

I am being harassed by a member of this site. They have stolen my photos, created fake profiles and apparently have linked them to porn sites (according to them). I have tried to delete this old profile, but apparently deleting does dick all. They are still sending me messages and my profile is still here. I am so incredibly upset right now, there's no way to contact a moderator and have them help me and I have no idea what to do. Somebody please help!

I can't see your profile (although I have to admit....I didn't look).

In clicking the profile link, your profile is not found.

Therefore, it is deleted, or at least not public.

littlewonder -> RE: How do I delete my profile? (1/15/2013 7:38:27 PM)

People email you saying this to scare you. It's for fun...kinda like prank phone calls. Ignore, delete. Calm down and think really hard. Do you believe everything everyone tells you???

If you do, then you have bigger problems than this.

As for them having saved copies of your photos, if the photos you posted were troublesome if others saw them or stole them, then you may wanna think twice before splattering them all over a profile next time.

There's nothing you can do about your stolen pics now except save all the info and go to the police for harassment charges but honestly, I'm not sure how much good it will do.
