Not exactly.

When viewing a profile, click on Return to List, and then you can report that profile.

I tried reporting scam pictures but the only one who can according to their dcma takedown instructions is the actual owner of the photograph.
Luckily there's the collarmefakes web site.

1. Look up the profile picture on tineye or images.google.com (use the little camera icon to reverse search just that image).
2. For the fakes found by reading & responding to the user, you report to collarmefakes in the fake forum; and you hit the "report user" button in the user's "default" profile page on collarme.
3. For those fakes found by reverse searching the image, you report to collarmefakes in the tineye forum; and you hit the "report photo" button in the user's "detail" profile page on collarme.
4. If it really gets your goat, also send an email to [email protected] or Fax: (352) 275-5011 showing the location of the scammed photos on the web
5. Write all this up and send it to mom.

WOW! People actually look up photos on a website to see if they are real???? And profiles, too? UNBELIEVABLE!! I honestly and truly can't fathom doing that!

I use that site a lot.
They show incontrovertible proof, at least of the photos that are faked.

But I find it easy enough to reverse search the photo myself - so it's not as useful as it sounds since it's so easy to find a fake photo.

The fake profiles are at the user' discretion - but like anything - it's one more datapoint.

I would suggest taking a few journalism classes before trying to be a reporter.. In this day and age of blogs and other crap, it seems everyone fancies themselves qualified to know everything without any research.. O.O

[Edit: Or an editor to make sure spelling mistakes are corrected.. But I left the crappy grammar intact :P]

On the contrary, Tafkaa... mine seems to work pretty well the majority of the time, thank you! People seem to have this habit of revealing their true selves if you keep your eyes closely on the "prize."

(How many times do you hear people say "well it seemed like a possible red flag at the time, but...?" AFTER the fact.)

As for Manti T'eo, that's HIS problem! LOL
