This is trivial but remarkable.

I have heard of people throwing a soft ball, or putting up
a soft shot in basketball such that the ball dies on the rim
instead of bouncing away as you would expect.

But this!  The video is 1:26 long.

Yes Level, I thought it was worth sharing.

The man, (Kevin) dribbles the ball before the shot so you know
it is inflated somewhere near normal pressure.  So how does he
put enough force into it to get it there and then have that happen?

I described it to a couple of my friends who had to see it for themselves
so I know I was not the only incredulous one.  But that does not explain.

I've seen it happen several times. it just hits it at just the right angle with enough force to wedge it in between the rim and the backboard, but not enough to actually hit and bounce out.

Saw it happen in high school a few times. It's certainly rare, but not so rare that it is unknown.

The page talks about that.  We have all seen the ball get stuck on the side.  It gets
wedged between the rim and the backboard.  This is sitting on top after traveling
from 1/2 court.  That is a big difference.

Yes you are correct.  Even more remarkable. Thanks for pointing it out.

That is cool, the question is did he get the money or another shot? Would have been good if they gave him something for such a unique outcome.
