Did anyone else get this??

Legal notice of Settlement from Class Action.
You are receiving this e-mail because you may have been featured in a "Sponsored Story" on Facebook prior to December 3, 2012.
A federal court authorized this Notice. This is not a solicitation from a lawyer.
Why did I get this notice? This Notice relates to a proposed settlement ("Settlement") of a class action lawsuit ("Action") filed against Facebook relating to a particular Facebook feature called "Sponsored Stories." According to available records, you may be a "Class Member."
What is the Action about? The Action claims that Facebook unlawfully used the names, profile pictures yadda yadda yadda

I love this part - not that I was even looking for a settlement but we all know who is making the money here....

What relief does the Settlement provide? Facebook will pay $20 million into a fund that can be used, in part, to pay claims of Class Members (including Minor Class Members) who appeared in a Sponsored Story. Each participating Class Member who submits a valid and timely claim form may be eligible to receive up to $10.

I'm just curious how many got this and if anyone knows anything about it?

Yeah I got one, checked it out and found out it was a scam.

Best thing you can do is check out the sender and find out what you can about them.

I received it as well.
The sender is bogus.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/07/facebook-sponsored-stories-settlement_n_2425686.html

Facebook has started notifying some users that they could get up to $10 from the company.

This isn't Facebook's way of saying "Thanks for all the vacation photos from Cancun," but rather a payout in a class action lawsuit concerning Facebook's "Sponsored Stories" ads that reached a preliminary settlement late last year.

I got that same email and once I read it, it quickly was deleted.

Again: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-12-04/facebook-sponsored-stories-accord-wins-tentative-ok.html

Under the revised settlement, users can claim a $10 payment, and funds left over will go to advocacy groups. An earlier settlement proposed by the company would have given users no payment, while lawyers for plaintiffs would receive as much as $10 million, according to filings in federal court in San Francisco.

That standard form letter looks like business as usual to limit the time during which people can file. At $10 each, most people will ignore it, so FB's actual payout could be lower than 10 million.
