VAA said the decline thread was not about moderation.

So I decided to start one dealing with just that.

Personally I think that the mods are hit and miss, but they are human and cannot be expected to be perfect.

Actually to be honest, of all the forums I surf during the day, this one is the best moderated by far.

One site is a political site, and I have seen posters moderated for "Overly zealous remarks dealing with members of the opposition." No threats or insults used, so I never knew what they meant.

Where's that blowjob you promised?

I don't remember that being said. Except maybe by Ron.

Chi was supposed to give everyone the winning lotto numbers one at a time so all of us could become rich, AND steak and lobster dinners for the meat eaters.

I dunno. I don't pay attention to the mods enough to have any clue what they do and don't do on here. I just type what I like and if the mods wanna do something, so be it. No skin off my back.

They have been on that coffee break quite a while huh? Hmmm. Well now that you mention it, a few million wouldn't hurt.

And what isn't being said is coming from the moderation end. We keep seeing posts like this (from the truth is no defense thread)...

Bear with us peeps; there are several posts under discussion behind the scenes and confusion has ensued.

... without getting the follow up.

It's your house, VAA (or at least one you've been given command of). I, for one, like the mix of people here, and will adapt to changes that may come, but the inconsistency and lack of clarity is frustrating as hell.

I was not aware that post had been made :(. That statement could possibly have been worded better to state, that in tryin to explain to me while i was not on site about that thread was confusing me and I needed to see it in print to be able to make an evaluation.

A suggestion for those that question moderators who are necessary for the website's safety primarily;

Volunteer and become one yourself as there is no better teacher than experience.

Well yeah. I don't think anyone's brought up that you mods moderate too much... or not enough... or not in the right way.
