Depends. If you mean the ones that contact you out of the blue, 100% of them are fake.

The ones that you view when looking randomly though new members: I'd say 50% are fake. Older members, maybe 10%-30%.

And yet I could not call any of those fakes.... they are quite clear about what they seek here.... nor can we really call them scammers for the same reason.

And the idea that financial dommes are such a shock to people here is sorta funny... but even most of them are quite clear about what they seek.

There was a rule of thumb that my grandparents taught me: If it seems to good to be true, it usually is.

Why have people forgotten that?

These never ending questions from men about how many real or fake profiles are on here shows me that people who join this site (or any dating site on the web) are:

1. unrealistic
2. unable to discern quality vs. quantity
3. impatient
4. not very bright
5. egocentric, in that if it does not fit with what they want, everyone is a fake or not real

I have been here for a while and I can tell you from my dealings on the other side, I have never met a fake person, only people I was or was not compatible with. It does not mean they were not compatible with someone else.

I also have the ability to discern if someone is a bit off just from reading; I attribute that to being a smart cookie and not delusional.

Dreads, there are tons of people who are not who they say. I hardly go to the other side anymore. But there are also red flags all through profiles and emails and such. There was a great thread about red flags around here somewhere. Do a search for it. Good luck, cause there are ppl who are looking for relationships here. Oh and do come back!

My count is 77 are real, and four of those have not loged in for over a month!

i think it really depends on the interaction you get from the person who made the profile. i don't have a profile on the other side anymore. people would say that makes me a fake probably. i enjoy the forums. since i have been with my Master i haven't really found much use for the other side.

dread- i agree with many of the other posters here... use your instinct and base your decision off the actual interaction with people here.

Dreadlocks... 1 in 10 is real... but that 1 is usually worth finding .. there are ways to filter out the losers.
