subseekstheone -> Horrible Christmas Eve (12/24/2012 7:37:31 PM)

My 26 year old son just beat his Son's mother. I had to go upstairs to their apartment which is directly over me and get my 10 month old grandson. When i walked in they were in the middle of a full fledge fist fight. I grabbed the baby his diaper bag put him in his car seat and came to my apartment. 15 to 20 minutes later my grandson's mother knocked on the door i let her in. she was in shock and hysterical. I got her to sit she cried and told me what happened.

I now have the baby until morning she is in the hospital and i disowned him. I didn't raise him to put his hands on women and his father and i never fought.

I feel lost and tomorrow when I see my Master i will let know what i am dealing with.

There is an inner strength in you. Go to that source and be replenished. Feel your nature. It is towering tall and you are seated on the pinnacle of that strength.

I am so sorry. Best of luck in dealing with this.

Did something in your son's life change recently? Begin drugs or drinking, lose a job?

frazzle -> RE: Horrible Christmas Eve (12/24/2012 8:05:12 PM)

Doesnt matter what may or may not have happened in his life. it doesnt excuse what he's done. stop looking for justification for his behaviour. Some people just go off the rails with no excuse.

My grandsons mother......... not a family friendly discription. My son isnt married, but i refer to his partner as girlfriend, fiance or daughter in law. and little miss perfect is my grand daughter.

FR

Such people ought to join a monastery and not reproduce their bad alleles any more.

I would just relax and enjoy the lull before things get worse.

Ho ho ho, etc.

I never said that. But there hopefully is a fix, and ya can't fix it till ya know how he's broken.

There is always a reason. There is always an excuse. Looking for those things is not justification. It is attempting to solve a problem and fix it before it gets worse.

Why fix inferior goods? He crossed the line distinguishing a civilized person from an animal.

I guess you forgot to mention calling the cops and them arresting your abusive son. Perhaps, in jail, he will have time to think.

I also hope you have told the baby momma that, if she returns to him, you will do all you can to remove your precious grandchild from her custody.

Good luck.

Well said SomethingCatchy...that's the reason why we say in my job field "xyz isn't a problem...s/he is having problems (which is why s/he is exhibiting bad behaviour)".

Good luck subseekstheone, am happy for your grandkid that you could take him out of that situation [:)]

Oh, for heaven's sake. OP, why would you post this? Why would you make such a personal and emotional subject a topic for debate on these forums? My guess is you're going to regret posting this. Do you really want us all to sit here and pass judgement on your son?

Pam

TieMeInKnottss -> RE: Horrible Christmas Eve (12/25/2012 7:02:39 AM)

Kind of agree with Metamorfis BUT also understand that, sometimes you need to talk to someone who is NOT involved or has a vested interest. First, the good thing..the baby is young enough not to have bad memories. Second, I sympathesize that as a sub these things are hard and against your true nature. Not saying you CAN'T manage just that Dom types forget..they by nature, run in and take over and fix everything...it takes a more concerted effort and getting over the initial shock. Third, what can and are you willing to do? You are legally limited in that, you were not the victim nor the parents of the child (& in the US court system that is paramount). The GF must press charges, you can't. Custody of the child belongs to the parents until legally something is done. Encourage her to press charges. Many woman may stay because they don't know how they could survive. If she has family, all of you rally together to support her. If she is part of the problem, get a lawyer.. Also, contact battered women's groups, they can suggest advocacy groups

JstAnotherSub -> RE: Horrible Christmas Eve (12/25/2012 7:09:09 AM)

I will say that my subly true nature would do what the hell ever it took to protect my innocent grandchild, who has no choice in this. If the adults involved can not get their shit together, that is on them.

AFAIK, the abused does not have to press charges, the state will do that. This keeps the abuser from scaring the abused out of it.

But, either way, I would get my grandchild out of there ASAP, and dare anyone to stop me.

DesFIP -> RE: Horrible Christmas Eve (12/25/2012 7:51:29 AM)

Another vote for calling the cops. Drug/alcohol addiction can be overcome. Anger management can be learned. Undiagnosed mood disorders can be diagnosed and treated.

And treatment is always a lot cheaper for the taxpayers than incarceration.

She might regret it. I see the post as someone just saving their grandchild from an ugly scene and very upset by what she saw. SHE needed a place to vent.

I'm so sorry this has happened, OP. I hope your son and the baby Momma gets the help they obviously both need.
