hi folks.thinking of branding my sub, just looking for any helpfull advise from anyone whos done it. cheers.

SylvereApLeanan -> RE: branding advise (12/21/2012 6:00:04 PM)

I haven't done it, since branding is a hard limit for my Kittyboi, but my best advice is to find a tattoo or piercing place that also does branding. That's not something you want to f*** around with and it should really be done by a trained professional.

frazzle -> RE: branding advise (12/21/2012 6:02:24 PM)

Make sure the damn thing is hot enough to caurtorize the skin and if it goes wrong!!! help dress and treat the area, which tends to be out of normal reach.

LadyPact -> RE: branding advise (12/21/2012 9:11:35 PM)

I've done it. What method are you planning to use?

LPslittleclip -> RE: branding advise (12/21/2012 9:37:15 PM)

the one my Mistress used on me was a coat hanger in salt water. it left a light burn that lasted for several weeks it can be done repeatedly to make a lasting mark

Clip this in the hands of your mistress is one thing...this method in the hands of pretty much anyone else is a recipe for disaster!!!
I second the if you're serious go to a pro post

I have done some permanent branding but I am thankful to be under the full guidance of my partner who teaches tattoo artists the different methods of branding.
If you are looking at permanent scars then a 3rd degree burn is required. You have to know what you are doing when you administer a 3rd degree burn and that includes formative care and after care.
There is plenty to read on BME http://www.bme.com/ where you can get appropriate and accurate advice from people who do this for a living.
My strongest bit of advice to you is, check out the brands on BME not just fresh brands but ones that are a year old and fully healed.
Understand what a blown brand is and why it happens and why certain parts of the body do not respond well to a brand.
Understand the healing process and how much a 3rd degree burn can affect someones health.
Go to a one to one workshop where you can learn first hand how to do a brand correctly.
I can send you some papers on the correct aftercare if you like.

How long have you been with her? Brands are permanent most bdsm relationships arent.

MissBlueangel -> RE: branding advise (12/22/2012 5:39:12 AM)

Oh ! Is that so Master

CORYVAR -> RE: branding advise (12/22/2012 10:54:34 AM)

if you google japanese nistress branding her male slave

ypu will see how its done and the effect. Turn the volume down BEFORE she picks the iron up !

Find a Mistress?Dom who is experianced before you even try it. and have them present when its done

HisPet21 -> RE: branding advise (12/22/2012 11:32:54 AM)

Yeah, no. No me gusta brands.

SIRJOHNSSS -> RE: branding advise (12/22/2012 8:40:39 PM)

evildarkness,

my Master notes that there are many unanswered questions in your posed question. First of all, what you are seeking is advice, not to advise. Here are some things you should really consider before marking your sub's body as yours - forever.

Is this a permanent relationship or is this strictly a D/s situation? Is the goal of the relationship to become a M/s situation down the road? If so, perhaps branding or marking your sub as yours should wait until the time that you know without a doubt that it is a permanent relationship that you both want and desire.

Also, are you speaking of an actual branding, tattoo, or a temporary i.d. tag such as jewelry? Have you discussed this with your sub and what are her thoughts and feelings (or even suggestions) regarding this?

subbisherri -> RE: branding advise (12/22/2012 9:00:11 PM)

Have branded cattle and horses, had it done to myself twice and it really wasn't all that special. Honestly, the first time when he said "take a deep breath" and did my thigh, it was a bit of an anti-climax. I told him if he does that again to hold it down longer, MUCH longer so it hurts, next time was on my bottom and it hurt more but really wasn't all that special. Cooled off fast I guess.
That said, is your branding idea about the pain involved (not so much in my opinion), the ritual (very very cool in my opinion, I think the friends who were watching were more stressed than I was), or the mark (mine have pretty much healed, I have more permanent scars from work). If it's the mark, and you want something long lasting, tattooing or scarification might be an option?

Pyramus -> RE: branding advise (12/22/2012 10:55:30 PM)

I'm told you use an oil to prevent spreading damage to the skin - and - that a freezing cold iron works as well as a red-hot one.

YMMV

Not exactly. Brands can be either temporary or permanent. It depends a lot on the pigment of the person's skin, the method used, and just how many layers of skin/damage is done. For example. clip is very light skinned. The water brand that we did on him lasted several months, but today, there is no trace of the original.

Doomkittie -> RE: branding advise (12/23/2012 1:01:45 AM)

I like to stick with liquid nitrogen brands. They can be made the same (the brand) as heat brands but you have the option of changing your mind as they last from 6 to 12 months. It is still quiet a powerful experience if you are branding your sub, you can add as much or as little ritual as you like and it is much safer.

We have someone who's first post is asking a bunch of strangers on the internet how to brand someone. And you all start giving advice like its a good question from a responsible person. My first thought is anyone asking that question on a forum where he doesnt know anybody is already evidence its a bad idea...

Which has what to do with My response to your statement? Would you be implying that it's better to give incorrect information depending on a person's post count?

MissBlueangel -> RE: branding advise (12/23/2012 11:54:15 AM)

Simply Michael....why does the fact he has never posted before make a difference. If he had posted a thousand times before, would the advice be different somehow ??

littlewonder -> RE: branding advise (12/23/2012 12:36:28 PM)

If someone comes on here asking for advice about branding and someone gives them that advice, it's on the person doing the branding and the person getting branded to be ya know...adults....and take responsibility for themselves.

Why do we continue to feel sorry for human beings on here and somehow they are children and therefore cannot possibly be responsible for themselves? I'm sorry but if you're an adult and you do something stupid, that's their problem, not mine or anyone else's for giving the advice.

I'm gonna look at everyone here as adults who are responsible because ya know....that's what adults are. If you are an adult and cannot be that, then you just helped to clean out the gene pool, thanks.
