Assuming those most in need of this kind of help are capable both of recognising and acting upon that fact then sure, that would help. Its been my experience that mental health issues are usually not recognisable by the sufferer.

Are these mass killers on medications? If not, how long has it been since they haven't been on any? How long does these toxic medications stay in the system? Are they researched in regard to the toxic and deadly side effects? Have you given your children Ritalin? Have you even taken it yourself? Are you aware of the side effects? Are side effects not important? The last thing we should be doing as an society is diagnoses and dispensing medication without being fully aware of the dangers of that. Before the US became a medicated society there were no mass shootings like we see now. It was unheard of and to deny this fact will be doing the children in this country a great disservice as adults who are suppose to protect and care for children. Surely there is an assumption here that mass killers have mental health problems or are insane, which is always problematic assumption because there is no meaningful definition of mental health or sanity to compare mental conditions or insanity against, which is why in most countries for all except extreme circumstances, people have to volunteer themselves for mental health treatment. So called sane people are some of the most violent people around. it's just comforting to label perpetrators of mass killings or just killers, as mentally ill.
