G'morning all:
sa, the worst curse is not finding out where your calling lies. Imagine the abject misery of what your life would've been like had you not heard the clarion in the hills. Unfortunately, you are playing a numbers game. I could list all the various reasons, but those are another thread. Suffice to say, you have an uphill battle ahead of you.
What I strongly suggest, stop looking so hard. It's when you least expect it that your luck will turn. My search ended almost by accident, through an email group that's mostly for munch announcements. Go figure. If you wish the particulars, you may email me on the other side for a brief tale.
