@Lockit I'm feeling it all out. I'm trying to learn about it. I feel slightly judgemental and I don't like that. I find learning about a kink really helps me to accept it and even in some cases embrace it.
@search thank you so much for these levels, it was something I'd been wondering about.

LOL! You could be right, but we did a sticky for AAMistress and we point to it regularly. It doesn't solve all of the problems, but it's a helpful resource. I really do like Roch's thread. I wouldn't mind seeing it become sticky. It's at least a good starting point for questions of this nature.

The post you pointed me towards is great and it'd be awesome to see it stickied. I'm sorry for causing trouble, I honestly do read stickies and try not to be an annoyance, and I've no idea why it wasn't showing up on my threads list.

From a fetish pov it is about the submission to control mostly from a distance, using IM or Skype. Not just money. Could be assigned tasks, humiliation, etc. Sometimes a contract is required stipulating regular payments or Mistress/sub rules in the relationship. Sometimes in the extreme it involves consensual blackmail, where personal data is surrendered. Even more extreme is the game of teamviewer, where the sub allows access to his computer, the Domme takes control and gains all sorts of embarrassing information or has access to purchasing power from the sub's credit cards.

At the heart of it, I think it is a control fantasy, or more specifically a need to be controlled. Pretty dangerous stuff. So many findommes on the other side, it is hard to believe there are so many subs available.

I think.. there are and there aren't. A lot of the 'dommes' on the other side.. aren't, really. You have no idea how many I've been messaged by who talk about wanting to submit to me. o.O
But, I think you're right about this, as far as the control fantasy goes.
