Lucylastic -> EMployment/Unemployment Figures for November out (12/7/2012 6:26:06 AM)

November employment numbers grew far more than expected providing a bright spot of economic news amid fears that Washington’s fiscal cliff deadlock will crush the slow economic recovery if a deal is not reached by the end of the month.
Unemployment fell to 7.7 percent in November as the economy added 146,000 jobs, federal economists reported Friday.

The November number beat average predictions of around 85,000 to 95,000 new jobs for the month.
The report will add a new element to the fiscal cliff negotiations, as businesses wait to see if President Barack Obama and Republican leadership can break their stalemate before the automatic tax increases and spending cuts kick in at the start of next year.
(Also on POLITICO: W.H. to House GOP: We're not moving)
And both sides will likely use the number to bolster their case, each swapping accusations that the other is jeopardizing American jobs by refusing to compromise.
While the number was better than expected it fits the recent trend of an economy slowly recovering but at a pace no one argues is fast enough.
This dynamic has allowed both parties to spin the monthly jobs numbers for their own purposes and to argue that if their policies are not embraced the tepid economic recovery will never gain any heat.
Both parties remain under pressure to get a fiscal cliff deal done soon.

Utter bullshit Lucy, when one looks inside.

The working-age population went from 243,983 to 244,174 (thousands), an increase of 191,000 working-age people. But the total number of employed people fell from 144,039 (thosuands) to 143,549, a loss of 490,000 actual employed people!

The spread is even worse, of course -- closer to 3/4 of a million workers, because you must account for the population increase as well.

And from another front -

First, what that granular data shows is that instead of a 146K gain in November, there was actually a drop of 114K jobs when broken down by worker "vintage." But where it gets simply stupid, is that of the 4 age group buckets (16-19, 20-24, 25-54, and 55-69), the biggest gainer continued to be America geriatric work force, which added 177 jobs. As for that key segment of the workforce, the 25-54? Jobs here declined by a whopping 359K in November. And this is good news?

I'm so glad you think things are going so well. Perhaps soon you'll also be seeing pigs flying and Unicorns.

"The American people are concerned about our economy, they are concerned about jobs," Boehner said.
"I'm going to stay focused on jobs," he added.
John Boehner- May 10, 2012

"Americans are again left asking the question 'where are the jobs?'
"Republicans have pledged to listen. We've pledged to act, and we have," the speaker says.
John Boehner- June 14, 2012

Well, actions have consequences, Yachtie.

ummmm

Karl Denninger was the CEO of MCSNet in Chicago, one of the area's first Internet providers. He is a founding contributor to libertarian blog market-ticker.org and was one of the early members of the Tea Party movement ("I cannot take credit for the idea floated on the forum, but I do like it").[1] Rick Santelli's CNBC mention of a tea party followed Mr. Denninger's blog entry on January 20.

On January 20, 2009 Denninger published a blog post regarding the suggestion to mail tea-bags to the White House and Congress. The title of his post was "Tea Party February 1st?" It was written on the same day and in response to President Obama's inauguration,[2] even though Denninger had voted for Obama.[3] The blog-post took issue with the bank bailouts, the US national debt and "the fraud and abuse in our banking and financial system" which included the predatory lending practices at the center of the home mortgage foreclosure crisis.[4]

Denninger, who helped form FedUpUSA in the wake of the March 2008 Federal Reserve bail-out of Bear Sterns, has been a guest on MSNBC, Glenn Beck and CNBC Reports.[5][6] By February 1, the idea had spread to various conservative and libertarian-oriented blogs, forums, websites and through a viral email campaign.[7]

On Oct 20, 2010, he blogged that Republicans had hijacked the Tea Party movement, and perverted its original goals to the standard Republican concerns of "guns, gays and God.".[8]

Denninger stated on Russia Today that he supports the Occupy Wall Street movement.[9]

Denninger, as a web software expert, considers conclusive that President Obama's birth certificate is a forgery. [10]

No... lol... but hell... you are listening to a man who voted for someone he believes isnt legally qualified to hold the position he voted him into. A man who is one of the eraly members of that ridiculous group called the Tea Party... the man who helped the term "Tea bagger" get its start

Sorry, he is holding a lot of futures in ton foil.

Job Growth Steady Despite Storm and Fiscal Impasse

By the widest measure of joblessness, unemployment also eased slightly: after factoring in people looking for work as well as those forced to take part-time positions because full-time work wasn’t available, the total unemployed fell to 14.4 percent in November from 14.6 percent in October.

Thats why I like the U6 numbers.

For the first time in my adult life, tomorrow I will cast a vote for a Democrat - Barack Obama - and I strongly urge others to do so as well.

http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?singlepost=2137743

HONOLULU, Hawaii – A Web expert who has built and runInternet and networking companies says the image the WhiteHouse released as Barack Obama's "Certificate of Live Birth"essentially fails the authenticity test and that the image wasmore "assembled" than copied from an original.

That's the conclusion of Karl Denninger, whose resumeincludes work as CEO of MCSNet, a Chicago networkingand Internet company; time with D&D Software/MacroComputer Solutions; work as a programming team leader for network software; and service in network engineering with ratings as a Unix System administrator.

Denninger's work follows on the opinion from another analyst, Ivan Zatkovich of Tampa-basedeComp Consultants, which consults on intellectual property for telecommunications, Webpublishing and e-commerce. He also has provided services for corporations such asMcGraw-Hill, Houghton-Mifflin, Citicorp and Amazon.com.

Therefore, on February 1st, which is more than enough time for Barack Obama to be seated in his chair in the West Wing, I am recommending an act of peaceful, lawful and yet unmistakable protest.

That is, to mail President Obama one teabag. Nothing dangerous, nothing illegal - just one teabag.

Send one to your Congressman and one to each Senator.

Yet you cannot dispute what I said. Nor the facts as presented. Im sorry. He has way too much political inconsistencies and baggage for me to ever take him seriously.

In his famously infamous 47% comments....Mittens claimed that "without doing anything" the economy would get a boost....magically....just on the fact that he won the presidency......[:D]

Can you show us some "links" to support that notion?

Well, you certainly have proven that you cant take anything seriously when it conflicts with your 'worldview' Yachtie, yet I wouldn't dignify some rightwing bloggers parroting as a worldview but maybe an unknowing masturbation of sorts.
