It would never happen but we should have the UN give the Suadis authorization to deal with syria in anywau they see fit. Oh the fun of watching that, lol!

You pay them?

NBC news is reporting that American Officials are saying the Assad has loaded chemical weapons onto bombs and missiles and that the Syrian military is merely awaiting the final order from Assad to use these weapons against his own citizens.
The U.S. military and intelligence community is scrambling, both to put together strike packages and to gather as much intelligence as possible so as to refine those same packages.

And I bet NONE of these weapons of them came into Syria from Iraq in the winter and early spring of 2003

And I bet you have no evidence to back this up.

What a coincidence that US officals say that -_-

Tell me... what country used chemical weapons in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq? USA
And what about their buddy.. Israel... They also use chemical weapons against Palestine...

So, That is allowed but when Assad is moving its chemical weapons its wrong?
I don't know if you know this but Assad already moved most of the chemical weapons to Turkey and Lebanon to make sure they stay safe...
And the only countries that are talking about Assad using chemical weapons are the US, UK and Israel... wich means that it can put in the box together with the other propaganda stories...
It would be the same as that Iran and Russia would say that Assad doesn't commit warcrimes in Syria...

The Saudi countries wouldn't even want that;) becouse they simply can't win such war.

Iraq won't allow them to travel by their country to Syra, Israel won't do that either.
And by sea they will be defeated by Syria, and if they would go by Turkey they will only fight Kurds up there;)

Uh, the defoliants used in Vietnam were not then nor are the now classified as WMD's. Granted the side effects were not known at the time of their use and some action should be taken to deal with the after effects.

White Phosphorous, or willy pete is not now, nor has it ever been classified as a WMD, and every country on the planet uses it in marker rounds, incendiary rounds etc.

While I am not supporting the use of these weapons, being ex military and a combat vet, I see the use of willy pete as a necessary evil. Trust me, when you are taking fire and need a pos marked for strikes, willy pete is what you are gonna call for.

Those weapons are a far cry from Sarin and similar compounds.

They're not neurotoxins designed to wipe out huge numbers of people by being lethal in microscopic concentrations, for a start.

Not according to Reuters.
Still, 736 million is quite a bit less than 1.2 billion, so maybe the arrears have been whittled down a bit further over the last twelve months?
(IIRC, one of the main reasons the UN has limited interest in doing as your country asks is because the Chimp was refusing to keep up with paying the dues to the UN...)

The chimp huh...will I forgive you...nonetheless without us the UN is irrelevant and with us they are useless. If they had balls the Middle East would have been settled years ago.

I just wish they would do something…right or wrong just something. I was being just a bit sarcastic with my first post on the UN.

I haven't had much use for them since Rwanda. As useful as a stone statue.

From what I've read sarin has to be destroyed usually in special furnaces that heat it up high enough to destroy it. unless we use missiles that can turn those areas into a furnace we would only end up releasing it. I'm quite sure Assad was smart enough to fully mix at least a few to make sure we couldn't strike.

Sarcasm aside, how is the UN supposed to take care of this? Will they send in the blue hats? Or, and I think this more likely, will they authorize NATO to do it. When NATO is authorized to do something, doesn't that usually mean the US is going to take a huge role (even if it's just to provide arms/logistics/etc.)?

Maybe the Pres. will just cut out the middlemen and git 'er done.

The UN as you remember has sent forces to enforce their mandates in the past. Their job is not always to just get between two opposing forces and be useless. At times it is to settle with force of arms...now would be the time.

I also think it is time for the US to step back and let other member countries sacrifice their children. We have by far given enough in lives and it is time for the rest of the world to step up.

I am not forgetting the sacrifices of other countries but none compare to ours. Let China or Russia for instance send their children for once. After all they are partly the cause of this problem.
