ORIGINAL: LaTigresse Being a movie buff and a huge fan of Daniel Day Lewis's acting, I've read several accounts of how he prepares for roles and this one in particular. There does exist, actual recordings of Lincoln's voice. Mr Lewis used every available scrap of information on Lincoln to prepare. He was so passionate about recreating Lincoln that he did what many actors before him have done and tried to BE Lincoln all the time on set, and much time off, during the making of the film. He just felt so obligated to the role and character and felt it was the only way possible. I cannot imagine what his family goes through when he prepares for, and shoots, a movie. They are probably glad he only does about one a year. I also love Tommy Lee Jones and look forward to seeing him in the movie as well. Sally Field has never been a favourite of mine but she has, I grudgingly admit, done a role or two that I was impressed with. Thank you Mike. I already knew I would love this movie and have been anticipating it since I read that it was going to be made and who was working on it. Now I am even more anxious to see it. That's one thing I find curious,I'm a bit of a movie buff, somehow I missed all of the usual pre-movie buzz about this project.....lol Than I saw the commercials about a month ago and I was like...."wow".....just curious thatI hadn't taken note of thise before that. LaTige I was not aware of the particulars of Lewis's preparation....but that doesn't surprise me....this is what great actors do when they assume a role However he prepared, whatever his little ticks are....this was the performance of a lifetime in a role of a lifetime I promise folks ,I will not make another post in which I say he is a sure fir nominee, and a likely winner of,a statuette.....but I stand by that As I said run to see this film...and Latige,I enjoy a film at home too...but some deserve the whole big screen feel...this is such a film, please go see this in a theater....You will not be sorry you did(besides if Yo are sorry You can beat my ass,win win for all ;-)
