Obti -> Search function (11/14/2012 11:01:31 AM)

Hi,

I'm hoping this is the right section as there's not really one for queries about the board/site. Could someone explain to me why the search function still doesn't work? This is for profiles, rather than the forum itself. Is this a temporary issue or a longstanding (and therefore probably not going to be fixed) one? I haven't been able to use it since I joined ( a few months ago).

I've never had an issue of the search function not working on either side. Can you give me more details regarding what you are looking for, and not finding?

It works fine.   This usually goes in off topic.   Clear all cookies and cache, reboot and try it.

Then, come here and post a picture of ALL your search criteria.  And tell us what you mean it doesn't work.

(it does have faults, cuz it will not pull up ALL your search criteria meets, cuz I have beat the hell out of it testing it over time).

Ewwww.  that was ugly.  maybe tell us by hand, and do a clear button before you search.

To use the Collarme search features, follow these steps. From the homepage, scroll down to the box in the middle of the page with the label "Username" in the upper left corner. In this box you can select the kind of users you wish to search for, such as users with a specific gender, age range, state, or country. If you would like to further limit your search to users who have selected specific interests, click on the "Interest Search" button and select any interests you wish to add to your search, and click on "Search" to go back to the homepage. Once you have selected all the options (and interests) you wish to search for, click the "Search" button and a list of users matching your criteria will be displayed.

Make sure if you have interests search on you have the boxes checked like this:

SEARCH

xx Return all profiles matching ANY selected interest
Only return profiles matching ALL selected interests
If you have all interests checked, even if they have all your interests and anything else other than yours, they will not be returned in a search. They would have to match exactly. That is why we suggest using the first choice.

What does the clear button do?  clear the checkboxes in the interest search?

poise -> RE: Search function (11/14/2012 11:20:31 AM)

Clearly. [8D]

No, it's not a temporary issue or a longstanding one....there is a very specific search function that is unique to CollarMe.com.

If you're searching for a Domme.....put in "XYDomme" (as in XY chromosome).

If you're searching for a sub female put in "sub babe chickee".

If you're searching for a switch female put in "FUCK that HURTS!!!! You son of a BITCH.....I'm gonna fucking KILL you!!!! Babe chickee".

(Spaces are part of the database protocol....if you don't use the spaces it's all fucked up).

This has nothing to do with the search function not working, it works fine...but who would we need to talk to about adding one more search parameter? There is a Minimum height box, what about a maximum height box? We happen to have a thing for ladies of a smaller stature (and my better half is very adamant that whomever we end up finding be her height or shorter) and that would be super helpful.

Just as a note, I also notice there is a max weight thing but not a min weight. We aren't, but what about the people looking for a sizeable counterpart?

It's never going to be fixed. It's not you.

It's not temporary.

(You're just flat out....fucked).
