It is not just "rainbow coalition": President Barack Obama was favored over multimillionaire businessman Mitt Romney in eight of the nation's 10 wealthiest counties.

Obama is a brand like Kardashians; Citizens of the United States of Entertainment favor brands. Stalin would have won landslide victory in Soviet Russia if they had US style elections.

How stupid can people get. Do you think if Russia had had open elections they would vote in someone who had killed tens of millions ?

The implication in your post is that the wealthiest are the most gullible to "branding politics," but further, that the wealthiest are the most easily sold on this particular brand.

Not at all: brands are for so called "useful idiots" [misinformed, ignorant majority], the wealthy vote their interest. Obama has been good for them. 93% of all "recovery" income gains have been picked up by the top 1% and the asset prices have been artificially pumped up by the administration fiscal policies.

Absolutely. Of course, think back into the period Stalin lived. Even today the Russians march with Stalin pictures. Same way the negative facts relating to Obama performance as a president are totally ignored, many not widely known.

That doesnt mean he would win an election, does it ?

"Asked whether they would like to live under Stalin now, only 3 percent said yes."
