Mitt Romney Shuts Off Campaign Credit Cards After Concession Speech, Staff Stranded
By Michael Allen, Fri, November 09, 2012
Mitt Romney's campaign staff got a rude surprise after their candidate lost on Tuesday night. Campaign workers found that all the credit cards issued by Romney/Ryan 2012 campaign were canceled as soon Romney finished his concession speech.
This fiscally conservative decision left some workers stranded while trying to make it back home.
NBC’s First Read blog reports:

From the moment Mitt Romney stepped off stage Tuesday night, having just delivered a brief concession speech he wrote only that evening, the massive infrastructure surrounding his campaign quickly began to disassemble itself. Aides taking cabs home late that night got rude awakenings when they found the credit cards linked to the campaign no longer worked.

According to Forbes magazine, this is not normal for campaigns to do:

In case you are wondering, this did not have to happen. The Mitt Romney for President entity does not end with Romney’s Tuesday night loss. There are papers to be filed with various federal commissions and bills to be paid.

Mitt Romney cuts off campaign workers credit cards, leaves workers stranded
Examiner.com
Mitt Romney showed the size of his largess when after losing the election he cut off funding to the credit cards for thousands of his staffers, leaving some stranded and without a revenue source.
Many campaign workers found themselves in restaurants, or cabs with an anxious vendor waiting to be paid and the staffer's credit cards declined. Mitt Romney left them holding the bag, and he was no longer willing to foot the bill. Some workers found themselves stranded in strange cities across the nation, hundreds or thousands of miles from home, without a penny in their pocket and no plan of action to take next.
This entire scenario is a window into the type of man Mitt Romney is at his core. When there is nothing to lose, and the cameras are not rolling, he is a ruthless individual.
Some members of the Romney staff took it in stride. MSNBC.com reported one staffer who, when asked about the credit cards being cut off, shrugged and said: "Fiscally conservative."
As is often the case, the perspective of the situation depends on how one looks at the situation.

Both parties pent > 1 billion gold doubloons or dollars or something.
A record $710 million was spent in swing states
That means campaigns paid as much as $45 per vote...I would have took the cash...and invested it in muffins

Seems rather mean - discarded immediately.

Well, I'm sure Mitt Romney supporters can solve that situation by their own means, talents and effort. They are true americans, not welfare-depending, Obama-friendly liberal-whiny comunists...

And if hunting a deer to feed themselves, or taming a wild horse to go back home riding it is too much for them, probably, the Republican Party is a bit too much for them.

I'm not even American but I'm glad Obama stayed
in office, the world is in some hard times, I think
Obama is the right choice in the long run.

And I do see the fact he cut his whole team loose
with no notice, a sign that you narrowly dodged a
bullet, a man's character tells...

Romney only wanted power, I think Obama truly
wants to make a diffrence for the future.

I can't say I'm surprised by this. I didn't want Romney to win and I tend more toward the Republican or middle than Democrat. Several things about him were very off-putting to me and the more I saw, the less I liked him. He should never have won the nomination. He never came across as someone who cared about the regular people in the country he wanted to lead. He reminds me too much of my mom's husband who is an abusive, lying, uncaring, religion twisting prick, who, btw, loved Romney and wanted him to win.

In the first place I am amazed that a man like Romney is the best the rebels... I mean the republicans, can find to represent them.

In the second place, I am dismayed such a man can get more than 1% of the Vote.

Perhaps this credit card incident casts new light on these strange inexplicable things. It would seem that even those without money will support a man who will automatically kick the poor in the face while coddling the rich and their corporations as if they were victims of a flood and a hurricane and F.E.M.A. This points out very clearly that, fully half of us are of less than average intelligence. One would have to be in that category to look at Mitt Romney and see a leader. Much less a leader with a clear vision of a bright future. And now. The campaign over, Mitt will never be President, so has no further use for these fools... I mean, tools. If they suddenly wise up, it hurts Mitt not a bit. On the contrary, he gets to keep the money...

Though it isn't his...

It belongs to his supporters.

True facts. Hot. Fresh. Sliced how you like.
