A shame there isnt more discussion on erotic hypnosis.Remember people, the penis and vagina are just organs. The brain holds the true power. What the brain believes, the body willl feel

... Alteringbreathingpatterns and music ate one good technique. It was done by I can't remember who at the Esseline Institute in the 80's though... meditation can do this too and just being with the right person who helps you relax is a more common way.

The point is there is a difference between using light trance to using full blown hypnosis.... Light trance work is used oftenenough by people without any form of special or professional training but who have the ability to gain levels of trust easily and both a good tonal voice and an ability to talk in a descriptive manner.

Top sales people often have this trait too....

Hey IronBear.... and all....

>>It was done by I can't remember who at the Esseline Institute in the 80's though

Most famously at Esalen by Stanislov Grof,
(though many others taught "breathwork" there...)
who "discovered" that rythmic hyperventilation
was as mind-altering as the LSD he was no longer allowed to research.

Of course, the Taoists back in 2kBC knew a thing or two....
..... but they didn't have the PR power of Esalen

For the kinky crowd,
arythmic, simultanious, mass hyperventaliation
(coupled with music and motion)
was one of Bagwan Rajneesh's best techniques,
.... built a damn fine cult around "dynamic meditation" as he named it.
Nobody ever got out of a "dynamic meditation" session
without getting fucked-up, fucked-over, and usually well-fucked to boot.

I highly reccomend it.

I haven't looked in a while,
but I betcha you could google up some scrumptious vids
of what old Baggie had the hippie kids like me doing back in the day........

I wonder if the Rajneeshies know about youtube.com?

>>Top sales people often have this trait too....

Funny you should mention that.
This ex-Ericksonian hypnotherapist
is just today writing the inbound-call scripts for
our big new health-insurance promotion
when a cute little collar-bot dinged into my inbox,
...luring me to waste my time telling lame jokes here...

DD,
and yes, my script does have margin notes
for when her (their) voice(s) should finish a sentence
with a low, slow... downward intonation........

(scroll way down for a cartoonish superficial view of DM)

Oh.... cool!

I just knew there'd be vids...
but.... it's just not the same as it was back in the 70's
with a room just full of bouncy, buxom, bra-free spiritual seekers...

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4506616324224559004&q=%22dynamic+meditation%22

Hooo  hooooo hooooooo hoooooooo
(damn... can't get the feeling back....
... but you need to watch the vid to get that lame joke....)

and, the damned demo-chic is wearing a bra,
and she's the only one in the room
which wrecks the whole "vibe" ... ya know.

Edited because I couldn't stand it
and went and googled up some info....

Re: hypnosis and sex....

The good news is that most "direct suggestion"
National Guild-type hypnotists are so lame in their
technique that nothing bad is ever likely to happen.

Not much good either.

There are at least 63 million ebooks on the net
about sex and hypnosis, and they are as useful
as the average NGH hypnotist too.......
(calm down NGHers, there's a good one here and there, and you are it)

Don Gibbons made an extremely useful observation,
and contribution to the field of hypnosis when he
coined the phrase "hyperemperia".  The basic idea
is that while the metaphor of most trance work
is "down" and "sleep" and a drowsy, reduced consciousness
of your senses... you could equally alter states of consciousness
with "up"  "aware" and enhanced cousciouness of your senses...

It's not a sex book per se, but Applied Hypnosis and Hyperemperia
could teach any bright student how to create some really
circuit-blowing experiences for a willing partner.

I highly reccomend this book, but beware,
it's gonna take a little work to get the knack....
.... more work by far than just buying a wireless remote control vibrator....

Gibbons also wrote the very best book ever on sex and hypnosis,
but it was under a false name (to protect his job and reputation)
and I gave my copy away to some sleazoid sex therapist
who is still charging her ripped-off clients 250 bucks an hour
just to read dem woman-orgasm scripts verbatem.
And I forgot the frickin pen-name Gibbons used....
.... and I can't quite remember that whole "rose-bud opening" metaphor schtick....

Now that I'm in my 50's I wish I had that book back.

Viagra is so frickin expensive these days.

i've had a few psychiatrists try to hynotize me, even one that had training and certification in hypnosis. they were unable to do it. so i guess i'm immune.

Michael... and all....

What's the new-fangled email acronym for howling with laughter?

Doesn't that just say it all....
a few professionals "tried" ... and one of 'em even had a bit of training!

****************************************

M, I am deeply sorry that you didn't manage
to run across somebody who had not a little training ... but a lot
... plus some experience
... plus some decent mentoring and supervision in trance
... plus the ability not to spew bullshit...
.... plus the people-skills most med-schools drill out of physicians, who then become psychiatrists....

Michael, you are not "immune".  You have an unconscious mind.
That mind has a predisposition towards healing and well-being.
And it could be communicated with in effective and life-changing ways.

It's like all the kids in school who are labelled "learning-disabled"
when it's really the teachers who are "teaching-disabled".

Think about that one a minute...

It was not you who was "immune" to leaning and change... it was them.

DD, a hypnotist "gone legit"
who only does weird illegal hypnotic things now,
stuff that'd make the APA president shit his pants over....

michaelGA2 -> RE: Hypnosis Play (8/10/2006 5:30:52 PM)

the one mentioned had 25 years experience in hypno-therapy, but was unable to put me under.

I agree to some extent.... nobody is 'immune' to hypnosis. If you want to be hypnotized, you can.

There are some excellent psychiatrists out there. There are also some who are too busy thinking about their time to really provide the time to some patience that need it.... some of them, you might say have little patience with their patients, so they instead then resort to drugs.

Leonardo (I thought this was placed at the end, but I guess I didn't put it atr the end, but así es, c'est la vie)
