The occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan are a mess. They're unsustainable, and the only way out involves bloodbaths.

I don't think any President contemplating a second term would withdraw during his first term. The outcry over the ensuing bloodbath would rule out reelection.

As such, if Romney is elected, I expect to see both cans get kicked down the road for another four years. But I think Obama would pull out early into his second term and would hope that the outcry would fade toward the end of the second term.

It is a speculation, a wishful thinking. Obama was supposed to be a "peace president", many people voted for him first time based on war-peace issue. The Nobel prize was awarded assuming progress in this front. Instead he has expanded war efforts. I believe he could be crazy enough to attack Iran. Obama is highly incompetent, he is capable of criminal behavior. There is a certain arrogance in him and an impression he feels untouchable. "Kinetic military operation", enforcing the no-fly zone (Obama administration interpretation of it) in Libya was a war crime, so are the drone attacks and killings in Pakistan by the US military.
I think wars will end soon because of the financial issues. Obama administration level of borrowing can not go on very long, and there is no driver for economic growth. In this regard a change of administrations would be better, Obama may just sink the ship hoping he drags through with borrowing, inflating the dollar.

Captain Magicpants (the legendary Brown Lantern aka Mitt Romney) has explained how he's going to shift the economy from borrowing and stop raising the credit ceiling once he's voted in, has he?
I must have missed that in those debates. You'd think there'd have been some mentiuon in the news about his plan to fix the deficit, wouldn't you?

Sure it is. ALL of our elected politicians are crooks... that kind of goes without saying. But that doesn't change whether the statement made regarding Obama is factual or not. Personally I'd love to see both Obama and Bush tried at the Hague and then we'd find out if there were war crimes committed or not. Of course, I'd also like to see both of them tried for treason right here in the US first.
