"According to reports from Pretoria, South Africa, teacher Melanie Minnie from the Rietfontein nursery school decided last Wednesday to haul her 31 wards to a mall about a mile away for a celebratory lunch. While such a trip would involve a convoy of minivans at most American preschools, for reasons that no one has yet to unearth, Minnie decided to haul all of the children herself in a Renault Clio, a subcompact five-door hatchback. Mall patrons apparently noticed children tumbling from the Clio like circus clowns and called police, who found three children in Minnie's front seat, 11 in the rear seat and six in the hatch." I saw the article and went WTH is wrong with this person.And yes,it DOES show a pic of the 19 kids in the car in the article. [8\|]

Another thing that stuck me was she made 2 trips to the restaurant leaving some kids alone on both ends and was doing the same thing again when caught.Besides the risk in driving with that many unrestrained kids.

Sorry, but don't confuse this airhead with a properly trained and certified teacher. The term preschool teacher needs to be removed from our vocabulary.

So one person decided to take 31 children out for lunch. My big question is, who was there at the nursery with her who agreed this would be fine? After all, surely she couldn't have been in SOLE charge of 31 kids, right? Right??
