Yes, a male friend of mine has been assaulted by his wife on numerous occasions and won't heed anyone's advice to get out.  One of my former female employees also was a domestic violence victim.

As a Domme, I would only give a permanent mark if I intended to enter into a permanent relationship with the sub or slave.
