If you were active in the NYC Area about 20 years ago--especially if you were online in those pre-WWW days, you probably heard of Stealth, the Christian Dom who took some very dark turns in the name of fun. Always safe, sane and consensual, but many gals--some of them quite experienced--were scared of me. Even online. Especially online. I weave the ILLUSION of danger whether in person or online, but sometimes, my play partner and I end up in a mental fugue state in which (I am not kidding) we can see through each other's eyes.
Maybe that's what they find scary. Telepathic clairvoyance coupled with a semi-hypnotic state and you should understand that I offer as much aftercare following an online scene as I do in person. Just because the scene was in our minds doesn't lessen the emotional impact. In fact, it can be stronger because you take it into yourself instead of submitting and letting things happen.
Lots of folks post requests to stay away if you're a cheater, liar, etc.
My own request: remember that there is a human being on the other end of the exchange. Emotions are on the line. Don't be an A-hole.
