alot of us think that less moderation would inspire more activity. some think it's better how it is now where people don't post for fear of unfair retribution. it would seem that this is especially the case of some who are pulled up on their bs posting. if there is no-one to point out they are posting bs the newbies think that they actually know what they are talking about [8|]

are they trying to inspire activity?

I find a good row helps.

There's not a great deal to argue, sorry "debate" - I wouldn't really want to rile anyone with contention, I may require abusive terms eventually.

Marmite in scientifically know to be best.
Many reason, all scientific. (see above: "scientifically known")

Also, soething not often properly considered is that fact that being antipidian, vegemite eventually falls off the planet under gravity. (northern hemishpere being the place where gravity is actually "down")
So vegimite doesn't last long. Some think it evaporates rather quickly for such a viscous substance. This is untrue.
It just 'falls off' the planet.
Useless.

This explains what happened to the Vegemite in my pantry. ~nods~

I've been watching the threads and I disagree that the all these tourists are giving "friendly, simple, polite and appropriate answers". I think there is still exactly the same amount of crap and uninformed bullshit there always has been. The only difference is without the participation of the older experienced crowd, the newcomers have no way to gauge or judge the plethora of crap they are exposed to.

Generalizations are subjective, I grant you that. [;)]

That said, there are some bad, uninformed posts out there. I just wanted to note that there are good ones as well, from people who are newer to CM than us vets, and give them a little recognition - no quoting, if I wanted gold I'd make it worth the while.

The reality check is unavoidable, but a little good cheer is nice to share! [:)]

Exactly.
