This certainly tells a different story than the DNC fund-raising letters and e-mails that bewail how Romney is out-spending Obama. Hmmmmm I wonder if politicians are being dishonest with us? The DNC fundraising has indeed been lagging behind that of the RNC. Fortunately for President Obama, he has additionally sources of funds. http://www.newsmax.com/Politics/RNC-DNC-Fundraising-Rove/2012/09/21/id/457138 RNC Trounces DNC in Recent Fundraising Friday, 21 Sep 2012 02:26 PM The Republican National Committee (RNC) is scoring a huge fundraising advantage over its Democratic counterpart, the latest federal filings show. The RNC raised $35.6 million in August, nearly three times the $13.6 million brought in by the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Politico reports. The gap is truly monstrous when it comes to cash on hand. The RNC had $75.6 million as of Aug. 31, more than 10 times the DNC total of $7.1 million. The RNC spent $47.8 million in August, while the DNC spent almost $22 million. As for debt, the RNC owes nearly $10 million to BB&T, while the DNC owes $11 million, mostly to Amalgamated Bank. In other good fundraising news for the GOP, American Crossroads, the Karl Rove-linked super PAC, garnered $9.4 million in August, up from $7.1 million in July, Politico reports. The group has $32 million in cash on hand. Some of the biggest donations last month came from Bob Perry, president of Perry Homes, $2 million; Clayton Williams Energy of Texas, $1 million; and B. Wayne Hughes, chairman of Spendthrift Farm, $1 million.
