sweetnurseBBW -> view onpaying a sub/slave for services (6/12/2006 8:42:11 PM)

I ran into an interesting person today. Just would like to know what the general view in paying a sub/slave for services, with or without sex. Is it too much like prostitution or no?

Kind of depends on the services. If I pay a sub for cleaning my house he's called a maid. If I pay a sub for caring for the trolls they're a nanny. I don't see prostitution but I also don't see benefit for the work I put into them.

andal -> RE: view onpaying a sub/slave for services (6/12/2006 8:51:34 PM)

Well, that depends on a lot of things.  If there is no sex involved, then I see it as absolutely equivalent to paying a professional Dom/me for their services.  (Which personally I equate to a massage.  If they are professional and certified, such as in Texas being an RMT, and perform their service well, they are worth whatever money both parties are comfortable with.)  If there is sex involved, I would see it similarly to prostitution.  As for legally, it depends on the jurisdiction and whether the DA is trying to gin up votes for his re-election campaign and needs a scapegoat.  That's my $.02

I would never pay a sub for his services. for one.  he/she is there for your pleasure, I have a sub that does wonders on cleaning for Me, and I give him a nice strapon for a job well done. If a friend needs him the samething applies.

Celeste43 -> RE: view onpaying a sub/slave for services (6/12/2006 8:52:14 PM)

There are pro subs, just like pro dommes. But sex usually isn't involved as that makes it prostitution and illegal in most of the county.

But thats not really paying for a sub thats just haveing a nanny or a maid that jsut also happen to be a sub, paying a sub to actually do sub like things would to me be the same as prostitution in MY opinion on the matter paying a Dom or sub defeats the perpose and kinds cheepens and ruins the entire thing

even if it wasnt well MY opinion on the matter is you shoulnt pay a Dom to Dom or pay  sub to sub it sorta ruins the entire thing makes it cheap

I agree and disagree.
In the context of paying a sub to do sub things I think that really depends on your definition. To me sub things are housekeeping, yard service,  companion, secretary and if they're really good sex toy. Lots of the things I expect from a sub are things that I've paid for. Not thinking that merry maids is a bunch of prostitutes though LOL.
Paying a dom to do dom things also kind of depends on interpretation. In many cases a boss, a life coach, or personal trainer can be very dom. I'm still to this day convinced that my rehab therapist was a freakin sadist.

Basically I'm needing examples and specifics because obviously I'm reading

as just that... SERVICE. I'm thinking you girls are meaning something else.

I can see the benefit to a "pro-sub" in a dungeon context, when I just really need to wear my arm out or want something specific that's a limit with the boys. But the responsibility of possibly damaging property that isn't mine, to me, would lose the appeal.

marieToo -> RE: view onpaying a sub/slave for services (6/12/2006 9:33:23 PM)

Im confused.  Are there 2 pro domme threads going?

theRose4U -> RE: view onpaying a sub/slave for services (6/12/2006 10:06:52 PM)

If I'm catching the correct drift this is pro-subs

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: view onpaying a sub/slave for services (6/13/2006 5:48:20 AM)

I can see hiring a pro-sub or an escort for play and/or domestic services.

Generally, I'd think hiring a maid to do maid services is better off- you'll get better cleaning, without fuss.  But if you can find the right escort or pro to do the work you want in the way you want it for the right money, they hey, knock yourself out.

Everything a person gets paid to do is like prostitution because prostitution is just getting paid for sexual services.  I'm not sure why everyone is ok until it "crosses some line into prostitution."  Everyone gives services in return for money.  Prostitutes are just a specific type of service.

So, if you have a service you want done, and you find that a sub is the best person for it and you want to pay them for the services within a scene or for specific duties...sounds like a good deal to me.

Prostitution is the oldest profession in the world, laws have never stopped it. You'd think politicians would have caught on by now.

Any paid work is prostituting one self and I can think of many professions lower than prostitutes such as politicians, lawyers, social workers etc. etc.

Maybe prostitutes are the ultimate social workers.[sm=idea.gif]

If I am paying for a service than it isn't a sub, its an employee!

I don't see pro-subs any differently than I see Pro-Dommes. (Except maybe a pro-sub needs more "safety measures" in place.)
I also don't have a problem with prostitution.
I think everybody can go out there and sell their services for pay.
That's ok by me.
The only issue I *do* have is when someone is saying they are one thing (Pro-Domme, pro-sub), but they are really another (prostitute).
Do your thing, sell your service, but there's much to be said about truth in advertising.

I'm a pro-sub and my profiles on here and elsewhere define the services I provide. I dont class myself as a prostitute and my clients
dont view me as one, though I will roleplay if asked to.....

Arpig -> RE: view onpaying a sub/slave for services (6/14/2006 2:15:25 PM)

Person A pays person B to do anything which gives person A sexual pleasure...person b is a prostitute...end of discussion.

i can't stop laughing!  Thanks for clearing that up for me.  So, technically, i have been a prostitute for my husband the past 22 years, since i've barely contributed anything financially; and have always had free access to the bank & credit accounts (even the ones in only his name).  His friends and family were right...who knew?!?

Arpig -> RE: view onpaying a sub/slave for services (6/14/2006 3:07:59 PM)

As unpopular as the concept may seem, traditional marriage is in fact long-term contractual prostitution.

MasterR001 -> RE: view onpaying a sub/slave for services (6/14/2006 4:36:07 PM)

Who am I to judge?
