...on the other side. Despite having been Ad- Blocked long ago. I had hoped once blocked, always blocked? Or do I have to periodically reapply Ad-Block? The only thing worse than the wiggling anus is the poo my foster-kitten left in the bath tub yesterday. She a baby and still learning to use a litter box. What's CM's excuse? How do I get rid of the wiggling anus ONCE AND FOR ALL?!!

My ad blocking was temporary as well. Does it go away after we clear cookies?

Ad block doesn't block the picture itself, or even the object on the page. They block the server it's coming from. There are 3 reasons I know of that will cause them to stop working: 1) They change the server, poof, unblocked. I'm sure many do just that to bypass adblock software specifically. Others may sell their advertisements through multiple "networks" so the same ad will be delivered through different companies. Any not in your block list will get through. 2) They deliver it via a script that is part of the site. Sometimes adblock software won't work for this at all, other times it will work but they can update the scrip to defeat it. This turns into a cat and mouse game where the advertisers break the block and the adblock companies work to resume blocking. 3) The blocking software itself stops working. Crashed, user disabled it, an update broke it, etc.

I've encountered this as well, and the best way I've found to handle it is to right click the ad; choose to block it (at the bottom of the menu that comes up), and block the root of the server's name (which adblock defaults to). Repeat three-four times and virtually all of them should be gone for at least a week.

So I periodically need to block it. Oh well, that's still better than having that gelatinous, offensive thing waving in my face. Since members are not allowed to have genitalia/ass shots as their primary pics (thank gawd) I think CM should apply the same criteria to the ads it allows on your home page.

Ok, here's what you do..... (And God help ya when I'm the one giving technical advice.) Increase the magnification percent on your screen. In doing so, the screen will automatically set itself to the left margin and you'll never seen the ads on the right hand side. Set it one time and you'll never have to see an ad again unless you go looking for it. Ta Da!

FR Chrome has started playing up for me with Adblock installed. Downloaded Firefox and installed it, with Adblock - no more wiggling anus. God, why are CM's advertisers such crass cretins? Hey well.
