How else to explain building a car elevator while running for President while the country slowly recovers from a recession that has left so many in such dire straits ?

Yes, the average "in touch" American has a worth of 264 Million, and that is of course the "middle class"....right?

It is when your name is Sheldon Adelson... The shady casino owner who also maintains human holdings such as Mitt Romney. I hear he and the Koch brothers have spent many times over what the rest of the republican populous have on the primary and subsequent general election. Even if we can't say for sure that Romney even senses the middle class exists outside of Ayn Rand novels, WE CAN REST ASSURED, Romney in in touch with his OWNERS.

137,988,219 tax returns out of 140,494,127 -- or 98.2 percent -- reported adjusted gross income of less than $250,000 a year in 2009, the most recent data available.

So the middle class are the people between the 98.2% of the population that's poor, and the wealthy, wherever that line is.

They don't want to talk about Obama's foreign policy failures, or the blatant lies coming out of the White House, they only care about trashing Mitt Romney... It's the only thing they have.

Yes, subrob accused the President of being out of touch by citing a Carney press release and then talked about how Romney supposedly uses Obama's definition of the middle class, presuming  apples are oranges. Oh, and he called Carney a "lying asswipe". Which part don't you feel has been discussed? The Apple or the Orange?

Offer some proof and we'll be happy to. All you did was paste a statement by someone you obviously have hate issues with, and accuse them of lying. Then you skewed any further debate by offering the example of Romney's widely perceived intellectual disconnect with the middle class.
Sorry for you that you left the barn door open to discuss either. The saving grace is that people just migrated to the second, KNOWN issue.

And here is the problem.....Many of you think the world can be molded in your own image. Knee-jerk reactions dont wash such as stoping aid to Egypt. Morsi has already condemned the attacks and promised to defend foreign embassies.

Carney is correct for the most part, Libya aside since the protests over the film seem to have been used to cover a terrorist attack, possibly in response to drone attacks you and I have both supported. The German embassy has had protests against it for some time due to its stance in circumcision, the British embassy shares an entrance.

And they aren't trying to intimidate the world into being molded in their image, Polite?

We feed these fuckers in Egypt, and they want to run the al Qaida flag up over our embassies? Their Prime Minister wants to tell us we need to be more careful what we say about their religion, when they have the power to control what shows up in their media? Oh, HELL no.

When our diplomats sit down with their diplomats to discuss these matters, damn right the aid package is on the table.

Oh, I absolutely agree. I think that we should make it a codicil of any aid agreement that safety and security of Americans, regardless of why they are in Egypt be a primary concern of the Egyptian authorities.

Agreed. What are they going to do? Threaten to go to the Russians like they used to?
