I do suspect that a number of them may have died already in the couple of years before the event.

**** okay *****

To all on this thread: I had actually formulated a serious response to the above, but then realized it was pointless. Astounding. Fanatics and extremists exist everywhere on the face of this planet. We should all of us remember that simply by growing up in one of the democratic, free nations, does not make any of us less vulnerable to fanatical thinking. Sad, but true. I wonder why people, everywhere, are prone to such type of thinking (conspriracy type thinking) even in the face of evidence to the contrary? The poster above has more in common with the Islamic extremists than he does with people like me. Kool-Aid is such a dangerous thing....[&:]

Yes, it is cynical, and yes: it is about you.

Everyone who allegedly was aboard either one of the two non-existing planes, or one of the two planes that did fly, is suspect. Anyone who was in whatever relationship to any of the names on the passenger and crew lists, is suspect.

There is rather interesting fact relating to the passengers: four major airline morning flight planes involved had 30% occupancy this morning (dividing number seats by the number of dead). The most likely the crew and the passengers were knocked out using nerve gas.
Also, interesting facts collected by George Washington (popular investigative reporter):

I know that. (I did a very thorough investigation of the airplanes; two of which did not exist, and the other two landed safely elsewhere.)

"Investigations" by the insane are meaningless.

I am proud to be insane. [8D]
Thank you for the compliment.

This is not a new story -- it was around in 2002.

Exactly as this says. The neo-cons rejected everything from the Clinton administration and only wanted the CIA to tell them what they wanted to hear, not the actual facts.

The very definition of "truthiness."

Yeah, this is very old news, I think it was Ashcroft told and aide he flat didn't want to hear another word about Al Queda, as he was gearing up for a war on porn.

A surprising number of conspiracy theorists aren't actually technically clinically insane. As I was pointing out with the links it often looks to be a sort of coping mechanism.

Whereas untold non-conspiracists (in my opinion) suffer from a lack of sufficient paranoia.

GotSteel -> RE: Bush was told 9/11 would happen. (9/17/2012 6:42:48 AM)

Paranoia is by definition unhealthy, unreasonable and a symptom of mental illness. Suffering from a lack of paranoia is more commonly known as being sane.

noun
1.
Psychiatry . a mental disorder characterized by systematized delusions and the projection of personal conflicts, which are ascribed to the supposed hostility of others, sometimes progressing to disturbances of consciousness and aggressive acts believed to be performed in self-defense or as a mission.
2.
baseless or excessive suspicion of the motives of others.

Paranoia [ˌpærəˈnɔɪ.ə] (adjective: paranoid [ˈpærə.nɔɪd]) is a thought process believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs, or beliefs of conspiracy concerning a perceived threat towards oneself. (e.g. "Everyone is out to get me.") Making false accusations and the general distrust of others also frequently accompany paranoia.

quote:

ORIGINAL: http://www.minddisorders.com/Ob-Ps/Paranoia.html
Definition
Paranoia is a symptom in which an individual feels as if the world is "out to get" him or her. When people are paranoid, they feel as if others are always talking about them behind their backs. Paranoia causes intense feelings of distrust, and can sometimes lead to overt or covert hostility.

Description
An individual suffering from paranoia feels suspicious, and has a sense that other people want to do him or her harm. As a result, the paranoid individual changes his or her actions in response to a world that is perceived as personally threatening. Objective observers may be quite clear on the fact that no one's words or actions are actually threatening the paranoid individual. The hallmark of paranoia is a feeling of intense distrust and suspiciousness that is not in response to input from anybody or anything in the paranoid individual's environment.

So are these nutty conspiracy theorists?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tTMMNTisBM&feature=related

No they are scientists, engineers and experts in the field.
Id say that these guys know a hell of a lot more about 9/11 than anyone here so maybe you should listen to what the experts say.

Politesub53 -> RE: Bush was told 9/11 would happen. (9/21/2012 5:20:01 PM)

Ok Jillian, you are right...The scary music has me convinced it was all a hoax.

I have watched loads of these videos and none of them prove a thing.

jillian4you4fun -> RE: Bush was told 9/11 would happen. (9/21/2012 11:53:40 PM)

*Politesub53 you didn't watch it but your right you are very smart and know it all so why learn anything new.

*SternSkipper comments like ( Like that's saying a whole.fuckload ) isn't exactly science
but I can tell your well versed with engineering.

Wow you guys know more than a group of 1500 structural engineers and a thousand high-rise architects, physicists, chemical engineers, firefighters, metallurgists, explosives experts, controlled demolition technicians, and more. Each is highly qualified in his/her respective fields. Several have Ph.D's -- including National Medal of Science awardee Lynn Margulis. She, along with the other experts, exposes the fraud of NIST and discusses how the scientific method should have been applied and acknowledges the "overwhelming" evidence of high temperature incendiaries in all dust samples of the WTC. High-rise architects and structural engineers layout the evidence in the features of the destruction of these three high-rises that point inevitably to explosive controlled demolition.

You guys have any Ph.D's in anything?

Politesub53 -> RE: Bush was told 9/11 would happen. (9/22/2012 4:32:50 AM)

Nope, unlike you none of us have a Ph.D in gullibillity.

If you read my post I said I had watched loads of similar videos, most posted by RealOne, and just possibly the one you posted.

I am not going to waste two hours watching more nonsense.

Rule -> RE: Bush was told 9/11 would happen. (9/22/2012 5:36:53 AM)

I watched some of it. What I saw was not bad, but every person mentioning his or her credentials ultimately was boring. So after some time I stopped it and went to bed.

I also rather soon noticed that I know more about the case than those experts, though I lack their expertise.

Anyway: whenever Lynn Margulis takes a stance, I pay attention for she ought to have gotten a Nobel Prize long ago already.

jillian4you4fun -> RE: Bush was told 9/11 would happen. (9/22/2012 10:25:55 PM)

You guys crack me up
*Rule You know more than the experts? maybe you should design a few high rise buildings obviously your talents are being wasted.
*Politesub53 I did read your post and I never accused you of not watching similar videos. You yourself said you didn't watch the video.

Calling me gullible doesn't make the science go away if anyone has anything logical to put up against the video I'd love to hear it. Name calling is typical defence against something you can't defeat with knowledge.

It's funny the she gets top billing considering....well isn't this topic completely outside her field of expertise?

Indeed, but she is capable of original thought and that counts for far more than all expertise of other people combined.

That would require a couple of years of training for me. But I am confident that then I could do so. In fact I do am interested in designing a high rise building: a space elevator, but that would require a breakthrough in materials science.

I do know that 7 was brought down indeed by controlled demolition - but without the use of large amounts of explosives. So when these experts argue that explosives were used as in old fashioned controlled demolition, I know that they know less than I do.
